The magnet doesn't matter so much. I would recommend against using degreasing soaps such as dish soap as it can strip away wax and damage your clear coat. Other than that, pretty much any automotive soap will do.
I took mine off years ago and they were sitting in my hallway. Unfortunately they are not magnetized anymore. Any ideas what I could do? Maybe attach Velcro to the corners of them? IDK. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
