I just bought a gte 2015 with 170k km but I charged it yesterday and it only says 30km range is that a problem or is it because of the weather it’s colder right now in holland?

Your complaints are not GTE related but general Golf complaints, so the title is misleading.

Also these 5 most "DISSAPOINTING" things were really insignificant(dumb) to complain about. You should have complain about the small boot/trunk space because of the batteries and fuel tank; the car height in comparison to the GTI model; the piano black console, dust and fingerpint magnet; and maybe the increased car weight which affects the handling and also the fuel consumption on the motorway(the e-mode is only useful in the city).

Got my gte 7,5 for over 3 years now and i still love it.Your complaints are rather dumb to be honest. If you want more space and miles you buy a id3 wich are a lot more $$$ and a lot less fun to drive.

How mant kilometres your car have? I want to buy one too but my buget is limited. I found a few with 180-150k km at around 13.000-14.500€. Would you recomand me buying one?

Hi Alex. My car has around 170k km. The price range is right. I can't recommend it to you until I know the reasons why you would want a GTE.

@@Drivewithme1 first of all I want a hybrid. My options are Toyota Auris Hybrid and Vw Golf GTE. The only advantage that Toyota has over the GTE si the relyability, but i read on forums that GTE is a preatty reliable car. So the best option in my opinion is tha Golf GTE. I also want a economical car for the city and the GTE is plugin hybrid while the Toyota isn't. The GTE can consume no fuel as long as you charge it. The interior of the car is more luxuryous in the GTE whyle Toyota-s interior I think is made by the same guys that made the Dacia Logan interior. Sorry for my english; english is my second language :))

@@alexmorun5745 I have mine for 1.5 years. I've had absolutely no problems during this time. From time to time I receive some errors in the dashboard, but they disappear after 1 second. And I'm not also an expert in car mechanics, I just enjoy driving them. :) So for me, reliability means that I didn't have to keep her in service longer than expected. Me, personally, I wouldn't choose a Toyota over a VW, I have a thing for German cars. The lines, the interior, the functionality of the buttons, and the shape of the air vents. Dacia is a good car, it was my first :p Your English is fine, don't worry. For me, it's also the second language.

Like your channel, i got a golf GTE advance this month registered July 2018. I love the car but just WISH the battery lasted Longer that is all! 21 miles only. I got the 7.5. Maybe the mk GTE is a big better

Hey Jeremy. Thanks for the comment. Yes, I wish too that the battery would last longer. Mine lasts for 40 km. 46 km on the dashboards when fully charged

I have a 2018 7.5 also. I usually get 38-43 km on Electric. I usually drive in hybrid or GTE with B mode activated so it doesn’t really matter that much to me. I drive 20km to work every day and only lose about 5 km on electric when I get to work. Don’t forget this is NOT a electric car, it’s a HYBRID.

I had a 2017 Golf GTE 7.5 Advance which I loved. Agree that the battery range of 21 miles in good weather is poor. I was charging it day and night. MyID3 Pro S is a different animal altogether with 300+ mile range if driven sensibly.

Hi! I like your videos!. I'm currently looking for car and I have an opportunity to buy 2nd hand VW Passat GTE 2016 with 80K miles/135k KM. I have question about battery degradation for any GTE owners. Have you ever had some battery issues and If yes, please what was the real life repair/replacement cost and how long it takes to degrade battery? Because I read someting on internet already and I saw price from 4k-10k € but I didn't see any real owners experiences. I read on VW home page that hybrid battery warranty is 8 years / 100k miles but what can I expect in real life? Thank everyone for reply !
