Restoring My 1950 Harley Panhead. The First Step Is the Engine Really Original??

This video is the beginning of the restoration of my 1950 Harley Davidson Panhead. I'll be trying to figure out if the engine is truly original like the previous owner said or just another bitsabike.

you go guy, and keep em running, I brought a 1949 basket case in 1976 when discharged from the marine corps, it took me about a year to get it all together and roadworthy. ran it all over hell for 10 years, and sold it to my brother to buy a house. it's still out there somewhere. tks.

I think you're already going to separate the fly wheel so just get stock ones. The goal is preservation?

Yeah Im damn sure leaning that way. I got a buddy that's the north Mississippi equal to Dale and mat at wheels through time. Might reach out to him and see if he has some.
