All I can think of now when I watch tours of the pinnacle class ships is how the new Cunard ship will look when she is finished in 2022. Looks like a beautiful ship though.

My partner and I are on this ship for 18 days cruising to Hawaii in April. Your video exploring and highlighting almost endless delights make me now even MORE excited than the HAL promo video. .The only negative issue so far was the hour plus wait trying to reach HAL customer service on phone and chat line!. I gave up.

Exactly! If it's going to be a computer class, it has to be PCs, because more people own one, and you can do more with them. Not that Macs are the worst thing on Earth or anything, but PCs are a much better choice.
I have both and by far the mac is easier to use. Microsofts share or the market is going to iOS and android. How much longer it survives is yet to be seen
I couldn't agree more re your Mac comment. That's why we usually sail Celebrity - everything is Mac based; the iLounge internet café, the in room system, there's even a small Apple store. PC's are POS.
It's definitely the right direction for HAL to go with a more modern ship like Celebrity. Other than the theatre, queens lounge, and MDR, many of the public spaces, bars and lounges seem confining. I'm not sure if it's the ceiling height or what. I'm impressed with the cabins and updated decor, but I'd be concerned about finding a deck chair on a warm sea day.

Hello:) my husband wants us to go on the cruise,but I got very sick on the fairy from Vancouver to Victoria,it was very big and I got sick as soon on it's started to move.what can you suggest for me ,will anything help me this big motion sickness? I just worry to not being able to enjoy my travel and being sick the whole time.Thank you
It's a large ship, so it's more stable to begin with than a ferry. In addition, Bonine also helps with motion sickness. Thanks for your question and bon voyage!
I live near ferries and have taken the ferry to Victoria from WA state. I have also been on a cruise to Alaska from Seattle. The ferry is VERY rough and the cruise is pretty calm. You can also get a motion sickness patch from your doctor that goes behind your ear. It totally works! Go on the cruise, it is worth it!
The Lido's seating area seems very tiny when you look at the ship's size. In the past, on Vista class ships, there's sometimes been some issues with finding seating as it was packed. Did you find this to be the case on the Koningsdam as well?
Just off this ship. Did not find lack of seating to be an issue, seemed similar to other cruises. There are also a lot of tables on aft deck, all covered, although half are in the smoking section.
I can't stand cigarette smoke. I hope it drifting around to non-smoking areas is not too much of a problem. I went on a Norwegian cruise and the area at the casino was gross and drifted to other floors, but I hear they have worked on that problem now. The music venues are a big plus for me, especially having separate rock, blues, and classical spots. Is the Market not-a-buffet open late?
I believe smoking is now limited at the casino thankfully. The buffet is open for dinner, and options like the deli remain open later from what I recall. Thanks for watching!

Great video, but yes, the voiceover is pretty bad. The monotone phrasing and choppy sentences??? No, no, no. Just talk normal and have color in your inflection. No, the ship is not going to be removing the staircase from the casino because smoke comes down. Ships today are designed very specifically that each item on-board has to be taken into account for weight and distribution which can effect stability and strength for load-bearing walls/columns. My only recommendation for HAL is to get rid of the computer lab and art galleries. Think they're just such a waste of space when people have their own phones and art auction? Eh, not while one is on vacation.
Been on this ship. Did not impressed of the design. The service was far less personal and not as attentive as other HAL /celebrity ships. We were disappointed.
