I used a Boss Hog torque converter and a shift kit and hd clutches in my TH400 in my 55 chevy. Sweet! Call them with specific info and they will hook you up with the right unit. Like the interior work and wood trim piece. I would just put vents in the wood trim piece or use aluminum piece but paint it like wood piece.
I'm thinking about the TCI Heavy Hauler TH400 with their Optimizer towing converter with a BIIIIIIG Derale trans cooler, and eventually a GearVendor(it will be a few years on that one, those bastards aren't getting any cheaper these days). The big Caddy should make about 560ft.lb. when it's all done, so under a lot of weight I'll be curious to see how she handles the load! I'm kinda leaning towards drilling vent holes in the wood trim too, then slapping the ducts on the back of the dash. I don't really care of the passanger gets to aim the AC. 🤣
The ramp truck is actually my favourite of your builds! I didn't know they made so many, here in Europe you almost never see them. I'm not even sure if I've ever seen a crew cab in person
They made millions during the 18 consecutive years they consider "squarebody", but sadly so many of them ended up scrapped that now they have started to catch a fair penny for even rusty junk, thanks to a lot of aftermarket support making them revivable. Crew cabs became very popular in the 80's but the narrow window of 73-75 (which is exempt from smog regulation in my state) built very few of them. I had to ship mine 1,500 miles in order to get my hands on it! There will be much more to come, she's not going anywhere 👍
It was a journey getting this one for sure, and a nightmare once it arrived from NC to CA but I think I finally have a leg up on this thing. I can't wait to get another SquareBod Crew cab back into the wild!
@@WhackADoRacing they're very hard to find nowadays. The internet is the easiest way to hunt for one & you may get lucky & come across one thaz in descent shape online. You never know. I wish you luck finding that second one. They're out there. You just have to hunt real good.

Those square body crew cab pickups are very rare nowadays, but the regular cab ones on the other hand I still see out on the roads today.
