What I've been saying for a long time, our fans don't do our players any favours.. I get the frustration, we've had years of mediocrity and the turnover of managers has been shocking not to mention we can't seem to get players who just hit the ground running. But no matter what, our players are scrutinized enough by other fans and the media that they really need us to get behind them to help them, so they can help themselves. My only criticism is, we really need to see this urgency on the ball, week in, week out. Fans won't get behind sub par performances. Especially when it comes down to application more than ability. These players can't be as bad as their performances are suggesting. So let's see some heart and determination... With some consistency and the fans will be back onside before they know it.
@@robertshaw3619Totally agree. Today we saw the energy and desire that’s been lacking. Part of that is getting up for a rivalry game, but also due to team selection. As bad as the Newcastle performance was, if that was the final nail in the coffin for Casemiro and Eriksen then I’ll take it. So long as we finish at least 17th, the results aren’t critical. Finding out who can play, and more importantly, who wants to play is the top priority. If that means some experimentation from Amorim and dropping some points, so be it.
@@tyleranderson6171 Couldn't agree more, now it's a case of steadying the ship... There was an argument to be made there (when Ruud took over) that we could rescue the season and a potential top 4 finish, now I'm being pragmatic and hoping for a mid table finish. Too much dead wood, whether that be ability or will (I think for Case and Erickson is more age) the dead wood is holding us back and has to go, but while it's there it's going to have an effect on those results, as we are seeing week in and week out. Hopefully a relegation battle isn't on the cards the club and fans could really do with some decent results going into the end of the season.
No, even if he is in form and comfortable nobody shoots that if he sees a player alone around the penalty spot, of course it a disgrace that he was bood that time, but even anorim said that he made a great decision by passing that
People won’t see this but I think Dalot’s clear instruction to always run at the space Trent leaves behind won us this game. He should learn to play as a wing back not a left back
Been saying for a while now that VAR needs to be limited in appeals per team which would make it a tactical decision when to call in VAR to resolve decisions. Either way I am really glad the lads brought the fight today. Play like that every game and the results will come.
I actually think Mainoo had a fantastic game today, may be his best this season so far. Bruno was brilliant today and Ugarte, thank you very much. He is so clean determined and to stop everything.
Ugarte was immense and Bruno and Mainoo were superb. Martinez turned up with his aggression and goal and Maguire was solid. Hojlund needs to do more and De Ligt was poor for the Gakpo goal. If we get Oshimen and Nuno Mendes, and ideally a keeper, all of a sudden we've got a good 11 and it's just tactics and squad depth needed
@iopne4025 yeah we need those too but Onanas costing us loads of points and Bayindir is awful so I'd prioritise a keeper. Then I'd look at midfielders but at least we've got Eriksen, Garnacho and dare I say Zirkzee and Rashford lol for those positions
Good to see Martinez showing his teeth. Had Jota back off and put his head down when it looked like he offered to see him in the tunnel at the end… In Ugarte and Martinez. We got some fuckin bite!!! Love it!!!
@ yeah, my theory is he can’t handle Maguire reincarnated into Prime Nesta at Anfield and had to knock him down a peg. Nunez like Uruguayan Andy Carroll tho!
Great performance but I said it in the comment section after the City game, all well and good getting pumped for big games but if we go on to lose the next games it's pointless. After Arsenal in the FA cup we have Southampton we got to show this performance week in a week out. I haven't seen it but I read Bruno mentioned about consistency in his post match interview, at least it being acknowledged.
Zirkzee bottled it at the end. The pass to Maguire was poor and you want your striker shooting it in them areas. Take the point but very frustrating how that ended.
@@Discombobulate453 It was very poor pass mate. Every time I see it, the pass gets worse and worse and it annoys me more and more. If you are going to pass a potential match winner to a CB, it needs to be on the ground with no bobbles. So the CB can get a better connection on it.
Mainoo is perfect. People forget he’s only 20. Too much need in other positions to replace him already. Just wait until mainoo catches his stride like he did last year
We have quality midfielder, which is Mainoo. The league leaders couldn’t dominate the game against 13th place team. Why do you was that? Because of both Ugarte and Mainoo.
Fantastic performance all round. Amorim hs done a great job of stripping back the ego's and demanding honesty. We have a manager with very high emotional intelligence. Yesterday was a psychological turning point, we now know how deep we can go, this is my take-out from yesterday...
How can we ignore the liverpool handball that they didn't even show the replay! How was nunez not sent off for his shoulder in De Ligts face!!! We were robbed!!!
The challenge method is what gets used in the NRL in Australia. Gets used in the cricket too. We have had a VAR system for a long time, different sports, but ideas could translate, it atleast gives a chance to challenge bad on field calls. But there has to be a stoppage. If the ref doesn't stop the play for a handball, when do you get to use the challenge.

The 3 cbs again were pretty solid. My only grievance if you like, was Hojlund. Insanely poor all game. Absolutely clueless as a striker. Weak, slow and really didn't show himself at all. Had we had a decent forward on the pitch and I believe we could have won that game. Please lads more of that level of a performance and we will start winning games.
Mainoo and ugarte was class toddy
All played really well today. Showed passion and fight. All I could ask for.
So these players beat city away and draw with Liverpool but they've lost the last 4 games in a row? They only turn up when they can be bothered, I feel sorry for the manager.
I did not expect that result. Huge respect to all the players and manager for proving me wrong.
UGARTE STAND UP MATE!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Good Video Ste 👍
Best we have played for a long long time😁, playing with grit and determination really plays off! the lads have now set there own standard and lets hope to see that level for the rest of the season. Ugarte and Fernandes was outstanding
how good can amad be. what's the ceiling
He's world class, IF, he can produce goals and assists every week.
Love you analysis. You’re true fan and very level headed
What a team performance. What a cracking goal from Martinez.
He is crap, sell him
2:52 I desperately wanted Zirkzee to score the winner after the shameful treatment he suffered last match. A confident striker, at that moment in the game, is NEVER passing there. Maybe if he’s not booed off the pitch his previous outing he smashes it in the roof of the net.
No, even if he is in form and comfortable nobody shoots that if he sees a player alone around the penalty spot, of course it a disgrace that he was bood that time, but even anorim said that he made a great decision by passing that
Love it. Get in
People won’t see this but I think Dalot’s clear instruction to always run at the space Trent leaves behind won us this game.
He should learn to play as a wing back not a left back
Been saying for a while now that VAR needs to be limited in appeals per team which would make it a tactical decision when to call in VAR to resolve decisions. Either way I am really glad the lads brought the fight today. Play like that every game and the results will come.
Amad the truth ❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
Manuel is the best signing this season. Also de lit just dives into everything if he stays on his feet no goal. Harry had a very good game
How was Van Djik’s handball at the end not looked at?
Because it’s LiVARpool mate. Jammiest (and most looked after) team in the league.
Class game. Ugarte man of the match but what a team performance.
1:13 I've been saying for years there needs to be a manager's challenge
They will never allow this becuase they wouldn't get away with being corrupt like the way they are now
I actually think Mainoo had a fantastic game today, may be his best this season so far.
Keeper isn’t the main issue right now. Need another cm or Am before we look at a keeper
Nah we need a LWB, CM like Ederson and swap Rashford for Oshimen…get it done!
@iopne4025 yeah we need those too but Onanas costing us loads of points and Bayindir is awful so I'd prioritise a keeper. Then I'd look at midfielders but at least we've got Eriksen, Garnacho and dare I say Zirkzee and Rashford lol for those positions
@King-Chub who would you drop for Edersen though?? Mainoo?? Ugarte?? Neither for me. Plus he's not that good anyway imo
@@DH-lk6eo tru
Good to see Martinez showing his teeth.
Had Jota back off and put his head down when it looked like he offered to see him in the tunnel at the end…
In Ugarte and Martinez. We got some fuckin bite!!!
Love it!!!
Don’t forget the Nunez and Maguire yellows, how is Maguire booked and Nunez not sent off!
Maybe Michael Oliver saw we were playing with 12 men and wanted to even things out?🤣
@ yeah, my theory is he can’t handle Maguire reincarnated into Prime Nesta at Anfield and had to knock him down a peg. Nunez like Uruguayan Andy Carroll tho!
I agree 100% on introducing the chance to challenge. In the NFL the manager have the opportunity to do that and i think it can be introduced in the PL
What surprises me most is ugarte has some tekkers close control playmaking ability
Ste it was Michael Oliver, we were never getting a penalty and that one was always going against us!
That's progress, long may it continue ,absolutely buzzing
Ste we were the better team but do you think they can play like this every week? it looked a hell of a lot better.
That pass from ugarte at end👌
Zirkzee bottled it at the end. The pass to Maguire was poor and you want your striker shooting it in them areas.
Take the point but very frustrating how that ended.
Poor? The pass was straight to his feet. Fkn’ell, we as fans need to get a grip
@@Discombobulate453 It was very poor pass mate. Every time I see it, the pass gets worse and worse and it annoys me more and more.
If you are going to pass a potential match winner to a CB, it needs to be on the ground with no bobbles. So the CB can get a better connection on it.
Go to Specsavers you need an eye test and unfortunately it got a horrible bobble just as Maguire was about to shoot
This was a perfect pass. Regardless of CB or not, this was a tap in.
The midfield was ruthless today. Ugarte mainoo and Bruno played around with their midfield for the majority of the game.
Amad is a BIG GAME PLAYER 🎉
Amorims post match interview was excellent. Angry that we haven't played like this previously
We really need a quality midfielder to play alongside Ugarte.
That's where Baleba from Brighton comes in
Mainoo is perfect.
Ugarte, wow what a player. Trent was the fourth best right back on the pitch today. Li-VAR-pool helped by Oliver and his mates 😱.
What a surprise once the player work hard and give a damn about the game they perform
Ugarte a monster all over the pitch every player must be in the locker room bloody knackered and about time well done guys
Ugarte. OMG. That's all I'm gonna say.
I agree. Should be like tennis with the review, captains challenge or something like that! You get 2 or 3 per game
Relax lads we only drew ..the test for this team is back to back to back performances and results
Well done on a helpful and entertaining report
This game proves we are not as bad as we've looked. The players are just underperforming at the moment.
Ugarte was mint. Bruno also stepped up. Let’s build on this. On to The Emirates
Our midfield played out of their socks, we always get screwed with hand ball pens
Don’t get carried away! We still need to get rid of these relegation fodder players.
