• 7:57 nice part 😝
A very nice piece. It dates from 1936. But the first movement "Ouverture" recalls a period Milhaud spent en Rio de Janeiro 20 years earlier. It's a rumba. All beautifully played by this ensemble.
Thank you for this most welcome post. Am very fond of Milhaud but never heard this before.
I love the girl at the clarinet. I love the personality that she expressed trough sound and movements
Nicholas rimmer piano. José Maria blumenschien violin. Laura Ruiz clarinet. There you go.

The clarinetist is way too cute.
nice flowing music... bravo!
A favorite composer (among several)! Wonderful playing, wonderful setting!
Bravo Laura, generalmente nunca escribo comentarios pero me ha gustado tu interpretacion. Y obviamente bravo al resto del ensemble
Como faço para baixar a partitura?
Brilliant! Thank you so much :-)
This is sooooo gooood 😭👏
Awwww, what a sofisticated performance! I adore this suite really). Some episodes are similar to M. Glinka and. G. Gershwin style. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thousand respects from Russia!

Fantastisch.

Outstanding performance of a remarkably original work.
Wow ❤❤🎉
dang that's tight! Good job
I met Blumenschein when he was a student at the Curtis Institute. The clarinetist seems to want to be a dancer rather than a musician.
Wonderfully performed. Bravo
I've loved this piece for 40 years. What a great performance and exquisite recording.
Excellent rendition. Bravo.
Bravissimi!!!!!!
Clarinet sounds quite boehmisch ...
This is like some of the most uplifting classical music ever written, it takes great skill to have written this!
I'm playing this (pianist) rn. Very fun
Exelente interpretacion!!! Que hermosa música!
True interpretive sensitivity and excellent sound research. Simply great!
She's getting down with her bad self!!

Just wonderful!
The music making is wonderful - these performers are top notch. But, the violinist seems timid and quiet compared to the clarinetist who is powerful and assertive. Either the sound engineer didn't capture the concert correctly in that space or the two musicians are totally mismatched.
Fine performance. Am very familiar with the work, have played it many times. That said, I find the clarinet players' unnecessary movements to be irritating and a plea for drama.
This is a musical performance. If the audience wanted to just “listen” they could have stayed at home and downloaded the piece on their phones. The way a musician decides to express themselves is up to them and it’s a big part of the experience. No one comes to see statues playing music😅
