Print Your Guy is an animated comedy short made by six french students from Bellecour School of Art in Lyon, France. We are Alwin Leene, Sarah Barry, Quentin Cornillon, Laura Gisselaire, Lucas Scheurer and Thomas Sigaud. The concept art was done by Pierre Davoult, Terence Jougla and Raphaël Maaden. I am 82 years old and found this to be exactly true, whatever age you are. The story, and the characters, are all true. They used to be real, but now they can be artificial, but still be the same. It is still the same old problem. How do you separate them? Very wonderful drawing, and music, and everything. You should have many awards.

This teaches that love really has no ideals. You can have ad many ideal types as you want, but in the end love will just disregard the ideals. Love happens anytime anywhere. You will fall in love for a person even if you thought he or she is not your type.

Well, it was just a joke, but now that I think about it, I'm convinced that I'm right. I'm not always like this (who am I kidding?), but this time I'll put in the inordinate amount of entirely unnecessary thought to justify myself in this completely trivial disagreement. Prepare Uranus (heh, sorry).
You see, it's quite obvious that her ideas of what each ideal man is like based on a single broad characteristic is very, very different from what the "Print Your Guy" standards are. She wants a guy sensitive to emotion who can relate with her well, and she gets a guy sensitive to blood and death. She wants a guy manly enough to eat a fish and not faint at the sight of his blood, and she gets a guy who likes the only three things any real man will ever care about: buffing up, beer, and sports. She wants a guy cultured enough to be able to intellectually converse on all sorts of topics, and she gets a guy so cultured (probably in a Petri dish) that he's a pretentious hipster who can't stop boasting in his incredible knowledge of pointless trivia. She wants a guy cool enough to, well, be cool, probably, and not be a pretentious prick, and she gets a guy so cool he does all the [stupid] things his peers do.
So why, then, if she were to type "perfect", hoping for a guy in whom she can find no fault, would she get what her own ideal of perfect is? Print Your Guy is going to send a guy who [at least thinks he] is so perfect, that if she ever does anything different from him, he will find immediate fault in her and tell her exactly what she's done wrong, probably in a ludicrously pretentious manner.
*Deep Thinking Time!* This short is a meditation on both the inability to construct an ideality and the differences in what people think are the ideal manifestations of such characteristics as sensitive, manly, cultured, and cool.
Consider this: I am a heterosexual male. I have a friend who is also a heterosexual male. We both have ideas of what the "perfect" women for ourselves would be. My friend makes a lot of situational puns, so a key characteristic of the "perfect" woman for him is the tolerance of his puns and the ability to keep pace with her own atrocious puns. I, however, suck at making puns (except Uranus puns), instead preferring to make jokes based on other contexts, which means the majority of my jokes are extremely esoteric; the "perfect" woman for me would be able to make similar links in context and at the very least be able to understand my jokes, perhaps even further the jokes by adding another level of esoteric context. Another huge difference between my friend and I is that he hates the amount of freedom Americans have regarding guns, while I absolutely love guns and firing guns and ogling guns. His "perfect" woman would have no care for guns, while my "perfect" woman would be as excited to take a day off to shoot at the range as I would be.
Basically, even if Print Your Guy _were_ to actually send a perfect guy in the sense of being faultless and not a pretentious always-right prick, there's no way that the mere descriptor "perfect" can capture in exactly what ways a guy would be perfect for our heroine.

My point is that what constitutes "perfect" varies by who is asked to define it. If she were to type "perfect", who's to say she wouldn't get a guy who's only perfect to someone else? Perhaps the bastardization of perfection would not be so extreme as him viewing himself as perfect and anyone who differs as imperfect, but the end result would probably be the same; he'd be deactivated within the day.
All that said, please don't feel like I'm trying to force you to agree with me. I just like having these conversations because it prompts people to talk and help me learn. As for typing everything, well... one of the main things I have in common with my friend is extreme long-windedness.
