  • Folkestone is a small seaside town in Kent that lies 73 miles from London and just around the corner from Dover at 8 miles. Folkestone maybe somewhat overshadowed by its neighbour of Dover in terms of history, but it still packs a punch as being one of the key channel crossing sites from the town to Boulogne, France via the Golden Arrow from London.
Folkestone had a very different look to it that only recently changed. Its beach used to host the Rotunda Fairground that was closed in 2003 and demolished in 2007. The Harbour Station saw its last service in 2014 and a year later work began to convert it into what we see today.
