Hastings Bonfire 2024
Today, I went to the annual Hastings Bonfire and captured some of the parade which wasn't helped by a difficult position. Then, the fireworks display lit up the sky over the roaring bonfire ignited by the different bonfire societies between Rye and Lewes.

"Moggy" Is a reference to the colour scheme of the Eurofighter Typhoon that marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in 1944. You will see these colours on the Blenheim and its escort of Spitfires in a later video that was part of the D-Day Memorial Flight. The Eurofighter Typhoon is a highly advanced, multi-role combat aircraft developed through a collaboration between the United Kingd...

The Avro Lancaster Bomber was a British four-engine heavy bomber, widely regarded as one of the most successful and iconic aircraft of World War II. Designed by Avro, it made its maiden flight in January 1941 and was introduced into service with the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1942. The Lancaster played a pivotal role in the Allied bombing campaign against Nazi Germany, primarily tasked with night...

Red Arrows Test from Cooden Beach | More Coming This Sunday

I wanted to see how things looked on my Google Pixel 8 Pro from around 9 miles (14km) from the airshow in Cooden Beach just outside Bexhill-on-Sea. I will attend the airshow on Saturday 17th August and post some videos on Sunday the 18th. Sadly the Red Arrows only flew one day of Eastbourne Airshow this year owing to their upcoming Canadian Tour. Flying that day will include - Battle of Britain...

Thank you everyone, really brilliant evening. ❤
Thank you ❤❤
A great film - no music - so many people choose "wistful" piano music. Just the sound of the sea. Beautiful
Thank you. I am planning to make a cinematic of Hastings Old Town soon when the weather is better. This video was rushed as the battery was about to die on my GoPro.
Sehr interessante erhaltene architektonische sehenswerter Erbauung längst vergangener Epochen:)
Ich empfehle einen Besuch des Dover Castle.
I miss Hastings 😢. Going there next Monday
I'm going there tomorrow.
Crazy to think that it is so long ago. Before long there will be no-one alive who remembers it!
The rapper?
🇹🇩
I remember the film they brought out one of the most Iconic bombers
Those men, knew they were changing the world.
It's a lovely walk at Folkestone Harbour station
I think I was in single digits age-wise (now 34) the last time I was in Folkestone, so it was a new experience for me. I didn't get much time to see beyond the Harbour, but I will make another trip there soon once I have researched the historical sites more.
great video
beautiful church
It is, though the last few times I was there it didn't appear to be open. Rather much like the medieval tunnels at Dover Castle, but I understand the English Heritage are doing something to do it.
Voice over would make this ace
What a find! Nice one.
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Wow your video is amazing so i become your new supporter
Thanks. I had hoped to visit several other locations that day but I injured my foot the same morning and it became too painful to fulfil my plan.
@history_class you're welcome and I hope your foot get better soon
Was that General Larry Platt?
Wait till they learn of the stg
The best (M-3) and worst (M-1928/M-1) SMGs in that demonstration were American.
ufffff
They sound terrifying
German MGs were great, and so was their armor. Sometimes though i think some stuff may be exaggerated. I mean our .30s and .50s apparently could hang with their MGs , same with tanks the T34s, Shermans, and Cromwells obviously had atleast certain advantages over German armor. I also get the numbers advantage the allies had toward the end, but just saying while they clearly had great weapons i don't think they were as superior to allied weapons as ww think.
Well, I would argue that the Germans were often ahead in terms of technology. Take the V1, V2, Me262, Stg44, Panther with night vision devices, they were all ahead of their time, but in the end the war is decided by resources and manpower.
You're first time in combat
Bastards😢
Obstacle. Hitler: obsticle!!!
How come nobody gives the uk it’s props for standing against the nazis?😂
I know right, stood strong for a year without support before allied force came. Battle of Britain 🇬🇧 😎
Uh… they do?
They do.. The Battle of Britain is one of the most well documented sequences of the war.
@@gk-bjorn I’m talking about people online, mostly Americans and Russians 😂
Старая пропаганда
America? Russia?
No because the point is that at this time, Germany and Russia were allied with each other. America hadn’t joined the war yet, as they wished to remain neutral, so the UK was the only country left in Europe that could actively threaten Hitler or stop him.
His biggest obstacle to World Domination was Italy
Why?
@@reversearcade-wifixsmasherBecause they were huge liability and screwed up everything they did.
@reversearcade-wifixsmasher3809 number of factors I emagen, * their dictator was an influence, hitler was inspired by this way of thinking. * it was a way of testing his weapons, logistics, and troop mobilisation. As germany, after ww1, was meant to never regain a mass military, it was top secret * its geography. * Naval power could also help I'd emagen. An alliance to support hitlers cause and Italys dominance within Africa. Without Italy, Germany would have taken longer to reach the objectives they had in mind. So yes, Italy was a key factor.
@@reversearcade-wifixsmasher Italy lost every war and Germany had to make up for its losses
@@sciencenculture but I wouldn’t count that as an obstacle. If Italy never existed it wouldn’t benefit Germany. They still did a decent amount of fighting against the Allies therefore weakening them, even if it was not a lot. Their greatest obstacle would probably be the Soviet Union or the US
Obsticle?
don't you know what it means
@@the-blue-barron2791it’s spelled obstacle, not obsticle; so in answer to your question I do not know what the word obsticle means as it is not a real word. I hope that adds clarity and context to my first post which I now realise and admit was vague. The OP needs to use spell check or a dictionary.
Luckily they had dads army...
Say hello to the royal navy 😂😂😂
That is a very crazy idea and it would have worked if not for D day and the allies pulling a uno reverse
The battle of Britain was 4 years before the Normandy landings
@@Thioacetone1 I really should have paid more attention in history class thank you for the information!
At least we're not speaking German right?
✊ DARN RIGHT!
That's because of Stalingrad
@@EdDnB yeah I'd much rather speak Arabic

Very educational
Well that didn't go to plan lol 😂
They didn't even manage step 1
😂😂😂😂😂
They didn’t started invasion tho. They attacked russia in June 1941 Battle for britain was just a battle, not invasion plan
I wonder how many thousands of soldiers dies there, All the RESPECT to them, God bless they souls.
Long time ago I lived in Whitby and every morning around 6 am I’d shout good morning with my mega phone cause I’m a dick
What a lovely video, a real treat to see. Keep up the good work, would love to see more <3
From Lidia, to Aki: Merry Christmas!
❤❤Awesome
I really want to visit Hastings some time. <3
I recommend visiting in the late Spring - early Autum period. Now, in December, the town feels pretty dead.
I'll keep that mind. Thank you! :)@@history_class
