It is an original Aryan New York not Persian alone. I am a Dogra from Jammu and studied in Kashmir Valley. In this Valley the Aryan Kashmiri Brahmins celebrate Navreh (New Year) at almost the same period dating back to time immemorial. This is an Aryan celebration and not a Semitic one. The Aryan Race split from a proto-Aryan Race into Avestan-Persians and Rigvedic-Indians thus there is much in common. The Avestan-Persian and Rigvedic-Sanskrit language is almost the same. The origin of this mighty Race is Northwestern Indian Subcontinent and the touching region of Central Asia. This is what a genuine expert has to say: See BBC News-The obscure religion that shaped the West.
