We officially tackle our first Jeep Badge of Honor Trail - Holy Cross. Along with a Humvee, a Land Cruiser, a 4Runner, and of course our Hemi Wrangler, we rock crawl our way to the top. Or at least we try.

Doggone it, y’all make great videos! By far, the most dynamic duo on the planet. Kevin, you are a mans man-I got hooked when you were e-brake driftin the switchbacks on Black Bear!! I’ve been over that road many times and have never witnessed anyone else with that kind of testicular fortitude!! And Brittany, I’ll just say this-there ain’t a cowboy in Colorado would not ride a bull for you! Simply put, you guys ROCK!!

Love this trail, only done it a couple of times in the late 70’s an old 1965 CJ, it was stock with no lockers, no lift, stock tires. Watching this brings back memories and reminds my why why spent so much time getting it back off it’s skid plate. Great fun, thanks for bringing back the memories of such a great trail.

We were stressed out just watching as well. They took over 40 minutes just trying to get the two XJ's out. I had to have a talk with one of the XJ's about the meaning of "No Motor Vehicles Beyond This Point" signs and what happens when USFS rangers see rigs past them digging holes with spinning tires.....
We were getting real tired of these guys, no one on the other side was taking charge, or spotting, there was a back up of about 30 rigs waiting to cross. They really should have broken out the winches way earlier.

I was just looking back at your videos to see the 1st time you guys did this trail. And I realized I’ve been subscribing to your channel for over a year now! One of the things I love about you guys is that your real people having fun, messing up, and not being perfect. The actual 1st video I watched from you guys was 5 things I hate about my Jeep. I kinda have a love/hate relationship with Jeeps. And I wanted to see a real Jeep owner bashing on their Jeep. I really had a dislike for Jeep people. And now I feel the complete opposite! Just people out there having fun! Love your content! Keep it up! I’m gonna go back to the beginning of your channel and start watching the early stuff! I have really enjoyed seeing the slow progression of your Jeep. That you didn’t just buy it, take it to a shop and have everything you have on it now put on in one day. I feel like I can relate to you guys and I just really enjoy your videos!

Mike Boncheck the tires worked fine. It’s a very slick trail and add water to it and you have no traction with any tire

Back to your roots! This and the last video are what I really enjoy. Wheelin' videos are what made ya rich and famous. Ok, maybe not rich. But well known among the offroad community. I have a 3 attempts rule of obstacles, after that I'm out. He winches up out of it, then winches back down to try it again, only to winch back up it? WTF are you doing? Slap him for me, Brit. That is how you break chit. Another fine video of what not to do. Drive safe. Rubber side down, shiney side up.

That was cool to see Holy Cross trail/ Cleveland rock...(again) I heard the trail is closed off somewhere before Cleveland lake? are you able still to wheel up to Holy Cross ghost town?
I remember a wooden sign that looked a 100 years old and it said " This town is over 200 years old please do not disturb it! I was amazed the they could get these huge steel boilers up there with just mules & wagons/tackle blocks back then... There was also an area of mud bogs that we had to winch thru before getting up to the lake.. I took a lot of pics and still have em! gonna have to pull em out! Good old days! Thank you for the flash back!!!

In my military days we would drag the brake to activate the Brake Lock Diff . Should act as a locker on the HUMVEE
He was, but its a Torsen style limited slip so its not a full locker.
@@silver6gen1 maybe if I put dirt in the diff it will lock up better as a friction modifier.

Good times on the trail👍. I have a Hemi JK with Dynatrac 60’s and it does give you the confidence to explore with a bit more skinny pedal😂. Kevin and wonder spotter Britney had the slow lite pedal crawl down to a science. Add a 6.4SRT, XD60 and a Pro Rock80 and testicular impulses take over💪😎. Be safe out there, thanks for sharing and you two are out in Northern California, I have a ranch and a B&B you can stay at.

Looks like Aaron's BTM technique is improving fast to get them torsens to work especially when a wheel is in the air.
I am trying lol, but I don't think that rear diff is working that well lol, the front seems to work pretty well! I enjoy how it adds a bit of difficulty, it is kinda fun instead of driving my Jeep.

bobbing the hummer is an awesome idea! I had a bobbed 84 4runner on 35s detroit lockers 529s rocksliders and winch... it went anywhere!
There isn't anything to bob off the back or front of the Humvee, the tires stick out both ends almost LOL! ( that is my Humvee in the video : )
You probably found out already, but you can check-in "offline" since the GPS antenna still works. You can then sync when connected again.

Regarding the steering system, have you installed a new PS pump cooler? Also did you reinstall the crankcase ventilation oil separation kit from the old Pentastar ?
Toyota FJ 40, took me to Holy Cross city many times. We used to camp along French creek. See allot of videos on it, seems the old land cruiser is the best for that trek. My son and I (he was 5 the first time I camped there). We had no spotters, no other vehicles along. We would go up and down in an easy day, piece of cake!!!
Believe it or not, in the late 70’s you did not have the crowds you see today.

Great to watch, though very scary at times. At this rate, its a matter of time before the Stepchild rolls. Keep everyone clear (and WELL clear) Dog clear, Kevin strapped in, First Aid kit ready, or recognize that there are limits, and pushing TOO FAR, may have serious consequences!!!!!!!!
