People liked Udio because vocal quality was better, thats not the case anymore. I use AI to add vocals to my own beats, Suno does the better job for this and the vocals are legit.
I upload my own beat, and using the extend option I extend it at the 1 minute mark so it uses as much of my beat and vibe as possible, then I stem out the vocals and in FL studio I mix it into my original beat. The fact that Suno keeps the vibe, sounds, key, bpm and every important aspect of my original beat when extending with vocals makes the process easy.
@@Psandoval85 I agree. I have a few videos that show a process I came up with to upres the vocal stems by converting the vocal to another voice, and then using Udio to fix artifacts. I think you'll find the method useful: th-cam.com/video/3_jOlqIHcpA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xfkoibhP4y8GrV9M
I´m just starting to learn about this and it´s really fascinating. I was convinced that Udio was the right tool for me as an experienced electronic music producer, but Suno seems like could be useful to in some aspects. I plan to add production with my daw and hardware and use this tools as idea generators and improvers. RipX daw seem like the right tool for polishing, editing and conversion in between. Adding hardware and software profesional tools to the mix could bring outstanding results. I´m too crazy to think in such kind of workflow or it makes sense?.... I´m so excited 😅.
@@FernandoCarvalhoprod no you're not crazy. That's what my channel focuses on. Suno and Udio actually work well together. I generally start in Suno, but the Udio remix feature is fire. @@theaimusicalchemist thanks a lot for your kind answer and your work communicating this. Discovering the real power and usefulness of this tools change everything for me. This is bringing back the creative aspect back to the main focus and I couldn´t be mora happy with that.
Sorry, but the 32 second generations are a bonus and preferable to Suno's "full length" generations, gives you MUCH more control over the development of a song - and as for cost, meh.
Thanks for this. My desicion was clear, after trying both. SUNO is better for me, cause as songwriter I start with the lyrics. If they are OK then I got to AI and start generating until the music is fitting the mood, expression and arrangement. I run a young channel where I explore AI music in genres like Country Music and Smooth Jazz. And for these I've had better results in SUNO.
Great video, I agree with all your comparison points, especially that Udio, although lower quality at the moment, produces far more artistic non-generic music with beautiful phrasing and intonation. Suno's sound quality is excellent but it drives me nuts that each song is so generic that it sounds like every other generic song that's ever been produced. My only complaint is your background music ... really noticed it around 7 minutes in. I was wishing I had a stem splitter to 'remove' or 'lower' your background music ... not only is it too loud, but super irritating, competing with your narration. But other than that tiny issue, the info in this video is excellent, far better and more detailed than most other TH-cam videos on similar topics.
For me SUNO creates, in lack of better words, usually good music. While UDIO for me had the better voice quality, but the music was total crap most of the time.

It's honestly really good other than the bright noise that's common with Suno generations. The hi hat sounds like a low fidelity mp3 as well. That's also common with Suno.
Very informative and detailed. Thank you.
