    What is ASMR? Why am I whispering?
    ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
    My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to provide anxiety relief, stress relief, insomnia relief, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, serve as a study aid and much more.

    It's interesting that you mention being "drawn" to the book, and Carl Jung in general. I've felt the same lately, and there's some kind of haunting draw to this book that I can't describe. The subject matter is so abstract and intellectual, and there's something almost spiritually attractive about it, to people who crave knowledge. I've felt this way for quite some time, and have found myself just obsessed with the book and the ideas in it.
    It's just... Interesting, I guess.

      I've heard so many people say this sort of thing--and that people become almost.. disturbed in a way when reading it.
      There must be some kind of strange spell on it or something, cause so many people have said this.

    I love having someone read to me like this. It's very comforting and relaxing. Carl Jung was an absolute genius in so many ways. I really enjoyed going through the "Red Book" with you. You really seem to have a deep appreciation for Carl Jung's work. I am inspired to revisit it myself. I love his book "Man and His Symbols". I highly recommend that for you especially since you derive so much from his symbolism. Everything he wrote was a work of art. In that sense you and him are very similar because these videos are a work of art in their own right.

      Andrew Vernon Always great to hear from folks who can appreciate Jung's works. I definitely want to pickup that book someday, but I still need to get through the Red one first! ;) And I agree, he may not have seen himself as an artist but he sure acted like one. And thanks for the kind words.

    Bill W called Jung a trifounder of AA.
    Though he wasn't alcoholic he knew exactly what the sickness was , he knew what the solution was , he could not effect the treatment because he didn't know how to trigger it, he didn't know how to produce a spiritual awakening.
    He was a genius who showed AA the way, without a doubt.

    This video is literally perfect, for me mostly because of the fact that it’s exclusively whispered. Most videos even on ER channel when reading he crosses over to his reading voice which for some reason really rubs me the wrong way when in asmr (although his voice is beautiful). If anyone can recommend any other asmr videos of reading which are only whispered I would be so grateful ❤️

    Why are we whispering? As a young man I read the Collected Works and was intrigued and for a while a devotee. Like Crowley, Jung had endured an aggressively Christian childhood and both spent the rest of their lives trying to get out from under by inventing their own various religions. Their era was a time of following leaders so they fit right in. In the aftermath of 'leader worship' - WWll - people were not quite as disposed to follow them.
    A lot of Jung's images are redolent of Frida Harris' work for Crowley's Thoth Deck - an amazing achievement by any standards. In the sixties and seventies I was a professional artist working on large scale public and private commissions during which time I came across a number of top end graphic artists. With a little imagination I think Jung might have made it as an illustrator of children's books

    Occult psychology :-). I'm into Carl Jung too but I haven't researched deeper on him yet however I'm into occult symbolism and esotericism. I'm also into Gnosticism and hermeticism. And I love symbology. Probably shouldn't have mentioned the occult because some people are turned off about it and get the wrong idea about it but anyways I really like your asmr work. Keep it up :-)

    • @easilydistracted5192
      @easilydistracted5192 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The occult is the most important thing to mention, because it speaks of the breach between imagination and what is perceived to be real. Those who are turned off by the idea are indoctrinated until they tear themselves free. No euphemism can help with that. Unlike them, we speak clearly.

  • @proletariat239
    @proletariat239 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I feel so strongly that esotericism asmr and even the literature and fraternal inclinations of the philosophers stone motif are one in the same. Kubrick pointed the camera at the monolith and the feedback started. You are a philosopher and you have to keep pushing the edge and asking the questions. Thank you for your entire body of work as of now and I look forward to hearing your interpretations of the path.

    he wrote somewhere that, if your soul is so sick that you read in the newspapers about wars and other bad stuff its time to get your inner healing process going.

Do you make all of your video's alone, or does your wife or a friend help you film your video's behind the camera? And question 2. Your video's are so relaxing and they all relax me, but do you get relaxed while making a video, or is it all work? Thank you.

    This book is about Aladdin and the wonderful lamp and the relationship between Aladdin and the genie. That's why the motif of the book is Arabic.
