I'm a DIYer but I've had a hose burst on my gauge set while charging. The hose actually blew off the fitting. It was an old gauge set and I was charging an old R12 system on a 1983 Toyota last year. I had a few R12 cans left but hated to lose most of a can before I could shut the valve. All hoses have been replaced with new ones.

Servicing by individual cans is also called TOP OFF without using a proper recycle machine which does vent gas into the atmosphere. When R134a was new, it was called Ozone safe, now it is not. In some states, this is illegal if you charge money or do the job as a professional. If you are doing work at home, it's best to make a bucket of hot water and put the can in the hot water to force all the gas out based on the delta temperature. Shaking the can or having the can higher than the service port can be dangerous, never turn it upside down to drain the can. Along with bleeding oxygen out of the yellow hose, you are also removing moisture/humidity from the hose to prevent it from freezing inside the system. Please be sure to change your vacuum pump oil every year at a minimum, tech data says every job but that is not needed, there is no true vacuum (100%) on planet earth in this industry. You get what you pay for so don't buy cheap equipment if you are going to do this on a regular basis. I would have liked to see the pressure gauges at 1500+ RPM also, Thanks for the AC TOP OFF procedure video.

Nice video man nicely done vacuuming a system is a must to prevent ice up, may I add that your gauge pressures may change with ambient temp being it's a gas, and and would be hard to get a 150 psi on your high side on a 100 degree day. Great video

Crap! I'm wicked late here. Nice of Hyundai to put that goofy bend in there, and stuff it waaaay down under the engine so only elfen hands can reach the nut! Par for the 21st Century course!
I just did a '12 Chevy Silverado - same as my toilet, just newer with more things to break. Had a big condenser leak on the right (passenger) side. I ordered a new condenser, orifice tube, and accumulator. I wasn't going to bother with the o-tube, but it was so cheap on RockAuto, I bought it anyway. Glad I did!! Thing was stopped up like concrete with a mix of desiccant from a blown out bag, and stop leak! You should see the side-by-side pics of the new vs. the old. What a mess! That explained the 10 psi and FALLING low side pressure during a test run. Would've went into a vacuum if I had kept it running. Would've made for a good video, but I'm STILL trying to get caught up from my 3 week trip to FL last month.
Looks like I missed yet another vid. Just watched these 2 Hyundai ones, now for the door dent removal one. :) Hope you're having a great summer so far, Glen.

A monkey could do it. :D On the iMac it's a little more involved - I have to hold Option, Shift, then press 8 - I get confused sometimes, and end up with alien symbols ... I may have summoned them, as we've seen in the news lately. :D :D
