What fascinates me in this is that you can really see a creative process developing. It looks like the idea you started with is completely different from where it ended, and the painting kind of made itself as you went on.
his process looks so professional. you can tell hes intimate with his media. watercolor and gouache are both so lively and i can appreciate his mastery with them.
The mix of mediums in this video was fascinating and beautiful. So many different kinds of paint! Also, I really appreciated the (major) focus on the primary colors. Despite not using a whole lot of color variation, the painting has a lot of depth and is very engaging. Certainly a fine piece of art. Thank you, Koko, for sharing. :)
that dude is excelent! he's basically like bob ross in that he goes "I think I'll put this here and do that" and it turns out exactly like he wants it... congrats on the skill koko!
Koko is cute. But on a different note. This painting changed the way I look art. It's so inspiring Being able to put what's in your head on paper is hard and he does it so simple. Its so cool.
That is amazing work. :D I am curious as to the paints you used. I would guess they were oils diluted with plenty of turpentine in a style much like maybe Helen Frankenthaler's technique, which I am quite fond of myself. I like to allow my paints and inks to run, though controlled, and give the medium itself that little bit more life.
I glanced over at my paintings after watching this and all I could think of was the words of Homer Simpson "WHY DOESN'T MINE LOOK LIKE THAT?". But seriously, you are an amazing artist!
Wow great work you are really artistic talented i can see how your painting comes to life with all those colors :) i love it . Subscribing just for this :)
Our identities are always in a state of change and motion, and we may not realize it but our identities sometimes overlap with the identities of the people around us in time.

The way Koko made the last figure's hair blew my mind. The paint dripped down perfectly, I can't even describe how awesome that was.
its amazing how many techniques/mediums he was able to use while still making this painting look uniform. beautiful and unique
The process is just as beautiful as the end product. In a way, art reflects life.

judging by the tank of paint thinner in the background, it looks like he uses oils and spraypaint together. It's pretty rad!

Our identities are always in a state of change and motion, and we may not realize it but our identities sometimes overlap with the identities of the people around us in time.
So cool! He uses a paint knife to actually paint!
Soo... when will I be able to see this in a museum? :)
It's cool that he can actually make art while on camera. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but some people just can't do that
