You can see they are struggling a bit. What a combo. They are still "on the way home" struggling to get back home and rest up so they feel truly human again. We really need some way to have gravity up there.....
If I am not mistaken, the reentry glide path of the Shuttle (maybe also the Buran?), because it was a winged vehicle, is not as steep as a capsule, like Soyuz or Apollo, so the G-forces experienced by the crew are not as high. Also reentry capsules are much lighter vehicles, so the vibrations should be more intense. You are correct, returning to 1G after such a long stay in 0G is not easy. They are very brave & doing a very tough job.

It's easier for guys as there is no pregnancy involved(pregnancy is a big career hurdle for women with tough careers, 90% of the time). So, these women can't always have the best jobs+best kids. And it's okay, no matter what society says. I love her, she's a legend.
+EscapingLabyrinths Because people love to be in the comfort zone. Humanity's idea of stability is a decent paying job, a medium sized house, two kids, and a wife who may or may not work. The idea that people are working 400 km away from Earth, conducting experiments in a deadly environment is overwhelming to most of society. And if it's a woman, it's more unbelievable. I am not blaming anyone here, humans are programmed to think like this; everyone loves safety.
"Have a look at our beatiful ladies." Because that's what matters the most when you've just fallen out of the sky..
