love tekton good price have used the warranty a couple of times very easy and hassle free love the no skip sizes plus if you buy off of there website you get 10% in rewards can’t lose
In my experience tekton’s warranty process is the best in the business. In 3 years I’ve had to use the warranty 3 times and it’s always been super fast and easy. Parts arrive in 2-3 business days and no need to return ship anything.
Seeing this video pop up months later it may have been user error because I missed the part where you say you grease the ratchet. I like this style mechanism for fine teeth and strong ratchet but grease causes the parts to hydrolock together by suction and I found that out myself and I don't even bother taking them apart anymore I just drop some oil in them work it in and wipe off. I switched all my regular use ratchets over to this style and my last ratchets lasted me 25 years so I feel these will be the last ratchets I bought unless dirt build up caused a engagement issue and the strip out. I have been very Glad I chooses TEKTON over other options. I wish you had zoomed in on the plunger coming from the selector switch or diagnosed the problem.
The good news is their warranty is excellent. Just like snapon. They don’t ask questions other than what tool is it and what you need. Two days later it’s in the mail. The bad news is things break that really shouldn’t. 3/8 breaker bar: the square fitting for the socket broke while taking a lug nut off. Probably the guy at the shop who really loves the air ratchet. Two weeks later a 3/8 ratchet broke when I dropped it ankle high or so. They sent the guts which didn’t work because they accidentally sent parts for a 3/8 drive torque wrench. The guy on the phone was really cool and really sorry. I forgot to ask what the torque limit is. Maybe I should use 1/2 drive
As an afterthought: I bought the tool at Meijer. They don’t carry the tools anymore. Sad. Now they sell the equivalent of Kmart tools. Guessing the market isn’t exactly priced right for grocery store type shoppers. I kind of stumbled on it by accident. The quality is obvious
The tooth count may be different, but the internals are otherwise the same as a Craftsman CMMT99442. I had just watched your video and noticed when greasing a new ratchet. I compared them piece by piece pausing the video. Sure looks the same to me. In this case, Craftsman and Tekton used the same Taiwan manufacturer.

They send you a whole rebuild kit so no need to diagnose the issue.
And not to mention they sell the rebuild kits for like $5-$7 on the website i just bought one if i need them on the spot
Yeah I’ve got a couple on hand.

Not sure if that is proof lol
Curious what was the issue? Maybe just needed cleaning and lube
It would skip teeth I think.
