Just found this video. I have loved Lang Langs slow performance of this as well. It's listed at "2009 Zoomer Hall" not by the title or composer. This is the first pianist I've found who also plays the Andantino slowly and with such feeling. Great!

This may be the first Sokolov interpretation that has not convinced me, I don't like the ornamentation, nor the tempo, for this sonata it's definitely schiff for me

I like this slow tempo and his interpretation portraying the darkness before the storm and the dead calm after the storm.

I'm a huge fan of Sokolov, I think he,s a GENIUS, but this time, I prefer Mitsuko Uchida's interpretation.

Sokolov is great but this is too slow I feel. For me no one does this better than Alexander Lonquich.
Compare this interpretation to the one by Paul Lewis, I prefer the latter. Sokolov plays this too slow and static.
