Monster Kaiju Attacks a City - a mixed media hybrid animation

- I made this animation in Blender using frame-by-frame animation, stop motion / stop frame animation, simulation animation, and keyframe transform animation.
I used hand drawn grease pencil assets and built 3D shapes from them. I also used flat 2D drawings, and some 3D models found online (credited below).
I used 2 different types of smoke simulation animation (the main animation technique credited below).
I also used 3D photogrammetry models for the outro patron screen, scanned via KIRI Engine.

Thank goodness the monster got exploded. The city was in danger. Looks rad!
Unfortunately that was just a government simulation as to what might happen as the monster grows more powerful. It cannot be stopped.

Well that was pretty unique. Don't quite get the idea of it, but I still absolutely adore mixed-media pieces of animation like this one, blending in basically different forms of art to create a chaotic yet cohesive creation.
