My dad owned a grain bin moving company in Southeast Nebraska and put up new ones and then my husband bought the business. I’ve never seen one being built, so this is cool.
Down the road from you in western Kentucky a grain farm I do custom fabrication work for just had a 5 million bushel grain bin and 2 3.5 million bushel grain bins installed in May they were awesome to watch go up while I was out there. I live and work out of Las Vegas NV so I had never seen a grain bin get built in person in my life.
It reminds me of wasps building their nest. They really are efficient and know what they're doing! Seems they did it in less than 2 days! It's very pretty and symmetrical doing all that in such heat!
really good it was about two years ago that my dad started doing a new grain bun and I got to help you guys really teach me alot my dad teaches me some and when I asked him what does the grain bin do we went inside and that was really cool but you guys teach me a lot more keep it up!
Hey Greg I was wondering if your mom , sister , or any of the wife’s hav a U Tube Chanel showing what their days on the farm are like . Like gardening , canning , taking meals out to the fields , favorite recipes . I think it would be interesting to all the women that watch y’all . Lord Bless
Your channel Has been a breath of fresh air. I’ve been following you guys on FB for a little while. I grew up on dairy farm in Iowa back in the in the 70’s and 80’s. Your equipment is much bigger than we used but still brings back so many memories of growing up on a farm and all that goes with it. Thank you gentlemen. Keep up the great work. Even with all the modern Technology it’s still a lot of work 😀👍🏻. So do you guys have beef cattle and dairy? Sorry I’m getting long winded here😁
Very cool guys, great job! I build grain bins in Western Canada, Westeel flat bottoms, usually between 31,000-62,000 bushel bins. We construct them in a very similar fashion. Is grain storage pretty advanced out where you guys are at?
Where we store different feed ingredients for the cattle: Ground alfalfa hay, rolled corn, minerals, and wheat mids. We load these ingredients each morning before we feed cattle.
Pouring concrete is some pretty crappy work but I like seeing it when it’s done. Especially when it’s a good crew that takes pride in getting it nice and smooth and level
Nice work fellas! I'd like to build a look out fire tower and found some great blueprints on a forestry website that are absolutely amazing. Just need the extra man-power lol! Are you able to feed the livestock whatever you feel best or is that prohibited (still) these days? That silo is something to be proud of. Gonna grab me a hat or two, thanks for what y'all are doing. The absolute salt of the earth!
thank you so much for this video i built sioux bins for more then twenty years it fun to watch other out there sweeting in the sun building thank you
You're welcome!
Thanks for sharing the whole process with us - It does bring back memories! May your grain bins be always full! God bless!

That looks real good guys 👍😄❤️
That was very Interesting to see how they put up them bins !!! Thanks for the awesome videos!!!
Yall need a set of grain bin stairs....
Yep, the stairs would’ve been a way better way to go and if they work better if you add another bin.
You guys are awesome!
Thank you for the video. It was another great one.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Definitely a hot job looks like.
It is a unified jacking system that pushes same amount of fluid to all cylinders. Doesn’t just depend on hydraulic pressure.
Good informative video. I was sweating just watching the guys work.
Don’t listen to the haters
The Welker TH-camrs they have a choir come in and sing in their new grain bin before they filled it up that's quite interesting
Haw do you guys find part's for your old musheans?
That was so cool thanks for sharing
👍👍

Hey brothers how big is it like bushel thanks GOD BLESS you and family 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂
Sorry brother I didn't watch video all the way through before asking although I I do push like button before watching lol
What keeps the rain from wetting the corn or grain inside. Realize holes are not big ,but rain gets in everywhere
What is the diameter of the grain bin? How sick was the concrete? And how many horsepower was the fan for aeration?
1st time watching you guys,I subsribed.
What’s a commodity shed?

Did anyone make a handprint or write in the concrete?
No, missed opportunity! Although there are lots of handprints/writing on poured concrete all over the farm from when we were kids.
The fan will blow air from the bottom to the top, not pull from the top down.
Dang we setup 45k bushel bins in 1 day

time for a parody inside and outside the bin
I agree
How many cubic meters is it?
20,000 bushels would be 705 cubic meters.
How wide is it. Looks like 6 rings?
I just billet a grain bian
5th
i like your grain bin are you going put some wheat in there or jest corn and milo
I was surprised I did not see a "CONFINED SPACE" sticker near the door.
Elon Musk makes those using cranes.
First???
You don't always make money with bins, not having a hope chest make you a better marketer
shawn mcreynolds
No offence but we lifted mega silos with chains in the late 90’s and early 2000’s what with this lazy lifting?
next you should get a taller one
