I'm 67, probably like you, and I want out of the U.S. to pursue the things I love. I saw your video on rentals in the area. I'm going to want things to do if I decide to come there. I love your raised garden rock walls.
Thanks, this country is not for everyone. I would suggest an exploratory trip. The U S. Is collapsing faster than I ever imagined. I would set a plan in motion, and also have a plan b.
@@jolifarms-Ecuador lol! I guess the time I came home to the fly apocalypse in my house a few thousand flew out right away! Ugh I shutter at that memory! A forgotten bag of potatoes while my husband was in the ICU.
Thanks, Joe, for yet another informative video What the heck is the red machine? I understand that it is illegal to bring GMO items to Ecuador, is it acceptible to bring heritage seeds from the US?
Things have to go through a third party shipper. Usually $10 per pound. Some restrictions. Maximum $400 value per shipment and 8 lbs. No electronics. Only 2 bottle of supplements. This method has no import fees. Then there are mules for everything else. Again, they are $8-$10 per pound. You may then have to pay to ship from Quito to your town. They typically charge $100 to bring a laptop or $25 for credit cards. If you want to ship something major, then yes there are 30% import fees. For instance, I shipped in a chipper shreaderr that cost $750. I had to pay an additional $750 in shipping and important fees

You must be the bug whisperer! I have never had a bug go the way I intended!
There were just so many! Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while!

Hi JoLi; Looking good! Is it expensive to ship Amazon goods to Ecuador? Are there import taxes? Hope to meet you two in the near future. Cheers Roger
