Thank you so much for the video. I have what I think they call "sutty citrus whiteflies" on some of my citrus trees. I've been spraying s mixture of Neem oil, organic liquid soap, and baking soda. It has helped tremendously, but it's hard to get rid of them all. I'll keep at it to see what happens. Thanks again!
what time of day do you spray and how often? Should be once a week at minimum. I also use a pure protein 21-1-1 called Primo Hydrolysate from a company called Organic Products, that I mix in every 3rd spray or so. This aids in the foliage growth when done in foliar spray. Give it a try to see for yourself and let us know. Probably one of the best products I have next to neem, baking soda and my compost / vermi tea.
I live in East Africa and have several acres of raised organic beds. What I have found to be the post effective strategy for pest control is use of rabbit urine. Rabbit urine diluted 1:1 with water and used as a foliar spray is a potent deterrent to pests. It also acts as a full spectrum foliar fertilizer. Then, the rabbit pellets can be put directly on the garden as a fertilizer without composting. We began raising rabbits just for the urine, then benefited from the pellets, and the meat is just a free bonus. Love your videos.
@@hollyp9811 The rabbit cages are designed to automatically collect the urine. The cage bottoms are a wire mesh. Beneath the wire mesh is metal roofing material at an angle. Then then leads to gutters, and then the gutters all lead to a jug. Once a day, you simply collect the jug of urine. When the rabbit peas, it goes through the mesh bottom of the cage, hits the roofing material, drains into the gutter, and then goes down hill into the jug. The poop also drops through the bottom of the cage, rolls down the metal, and lands in the gutter and stops there. So after collecting the urine, you once a day just brush the poop out of the gutters, and then put in on the garden. Takes a small number of minutes a day to care for the rabbits if the cages are designed well.
Great video! Ty for the non toxic ways to deal with pests. I didn’t know ladybugs eat strawberries and just put a few ladybugs out in our strawberry rows, but I’m happy to have them in my garden so I’ll share our some of our coveted strawberries 😆
Thank you for this video. I am new to your channel and have already gotten some good information. I noticed a white butterfly hanging around my kale plant. I noticed a lot of holes now on my plant. Is that butterfly eating those holes in there? I just went to look at the leaves and I believe I found the eggs. Little black specs. I wiped them off with my fingers. Will this help it or do I need to spray. I only have one plant and it’s not very big. I planted Dwarf Siberian Kale.
Thank you so much! I have a question about BT. I make my own lactobacillus, preserve with molassas, and spray on my plants. Does my lactobacillus contain BT?
Thank you for the great presentation… Who more than someone you to gardening would start researching these types of issues….. In saying that… Thanks for actually explaining about and showing us what the insects actually look like so we can use the right resources to rid them
I live in Canada many of the things you you mentioned are not available here. I have a problem with miner bugs on my beets. They are devastating my beets. Please do a video on getting rid of these nasty bugs please.
Good tips. I think you mentioned iron iron phosphate for ground bugs but in my search revealed snail products & diatomaceous earth but could not find iron phosphate. Is it the same? What could one spay on Apple trees that's organic? Ohh, and I might get those shows, I hope their sturdy to prevent twisting my ankle.
Do you have some kind of suggestion for the gnats that go crazy in my potted plants in the house? I’ve tried so many things and the larvae eat away my roots I think and there’s just always more of them.
Thank you for your video! very informative :D I was wondering if you know if neem oil, or any of the other methods, works on intestinal parasites for farm animals? Maybe spraying with castille soap and neem would help kill eggs but still be safe for goats? Have you ever come across information like that? Thank you Connie
DE food grade, Hope that helps :) Do some research but it's perfectly safe for animals to consume, Hope your lovely animals get better soon :) If the offenders are exoskeleton the DE will work wonders and not harm your animals
In the past, when I have used neem oil the next day my plant is flattened to the ground because my dog likes to roll in it. Do you think it be OK if I just use the soap by itself? Would it still take care of aphids?
What about sowbugs & pillbugs, Jag? I have an infestation in the garden. The compost I bought has partially composted wood chips & the sowbugs & pillbugs are now eating the plants.
Hi! Great Video👍🏾 I have a silly Question... Seriously I have that same Sprayer and I can't get it open🤷🏾♀️... I can't get the top off...any suggestions or secrets to getting it open?
I dusted Food Grade DE all around & ontop of nn ant hill (large brown ants)- a few days later they had not missed a beat. I have lots if biting ants- small, large, black, brown etc.
Use a water fountain. Solar and cheap in bird bath. Birds go for fruit for the water, except blueberries. It also brings dragonflies; attracted to sound of running water

You can also get the bedbug traps and buy the bedbug pillow cases,
