  • The Edmonton Oilers have dragged the Florida Panthers back to Alberta for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. The Oilers came away with a 5-3 win in Sunrise, Florida, after a four point performance from Connor McDavid. Stuart Skinner was fantastic in that game too, making countless huge saves to help the Oilers win.
Game 6 goes down tomorrow at Rogers Place. There are a few line up notes for both teams, including a possible return for Evander Kane. If Kane was to return, where you would put him in the lineup? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will discuss that and more on Oilersnation Everyday. They'll go live on the Oilersnation TH-cam channel, and across all Oilersnation social media channels, at noon. Want your thoughts on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres TH-cam live chat throughout the program. Tyler and Liam strongly encourage you to interact with them throughout the show.
Former Edmonton Oiler and current Sportsnet colour commentator, Louie DeBrusk joins Tyler and Liam for his second appearance on the show. With Louie, they'll get his thoughts on the Stanley Cup Final so far and find out what has gone right for the Oilers in the previous two games.
Later in the show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff will make his daily appearance, which is brought to you by Horse Racing Alberta. Of course, they'll talk about the Final; however, there was two significant trades in the NHL yesterday that Frank will give his take on.

That TikTok account holder is probably a troll or a robotic AI account. The Oilers beat the team that beat Colorado and Vegas in 6 games in reasonably convincing fashion. And Vancouver probably played the Oilers tougher than Dallas did, to Vancouver's credit. And that is End of Story.

Why would Pittsburgh make that hypothetical trade: Karlsson for Nurse?

You guys need to remember that most people don't watch, you need to announce the players for Liam's game. It drives me nuts when I listen and you forget to say who the player is.

Game 6 hinges on Bobrovsky as much, or perhaps even more, than it hinges on MacDavid. Stuart Skinner has outplayed Bobrovsky in the last two games, the stats and scoresheet aren't lying here. So which Bobrovsky shows up tomorrow's night? Will Sergei Bobrovsky relocate his groove from game 1 of this series and his play from the previous Rangers' series? Or does Bobrovsky move one step closer to extending his already considerable playoff choke artist reputation to all-time legendary status. As far as I can tell, no team in the modern NHL era has ever won a Stanley Cup without spectacular goaltending, including those crucial timely saves. Skinner has been improving, Bobrovsky has had the wheels fall off. Sergei was a bit better in game 5 than he was in game 4, but not by much. He allowed 4 goals and was one goal away from Paul Maurice's yank 'im line. Florida, as a team, played much better in game 5 and still did not win. This was mostly because Stuart Skinner made some spectacular and some timely saves and Sergei Bobrovsky did not equal Skinner's performance in goal. Two of those goals Bobrovsky should have stopped, he made better saves than that several times in the Rangers' series. So Florida's fate is mistly in the hands of Sergei Bobrovsky, will he show up, or not. I say all this while fully acknowledging that Connor MacDavid is having a playoff performance for the ages and the Oilers team as a whole is giving a powerful performance as well. They've dropped a couple of bombs throughout the playoffs but this gas happened to many past Stanley Cup championship teams, including those Oilers dynasty teams from the 5 in 7 run from 1984 to 1990.
