Can’t believe Laffy doesn’t have X factors. He was the best player in the Florida series and best foward, Trocheck was great but a lot of his scoring was PP, Laffy didn’t have anything on the PP bc he didn’t get mins on it even though he deserves it, other than Igor he was the best player for the rangers in the playoffs overall. He’s gonna be over a point per game this year, hope they give him some X factors in the first roster update and give him high elite potential, he deserves it, maybe even franchise
How does Lafreniere deserve franchise potential. He’s going into year 5 since going 1st and his ‘breakout’ year was him getting 57 points. MED Elite is more then fair for him atm.
I couldn't agree more about certain stats getting pumped to increase overalls. There are players like you mentioned that barely ever hit that have mid to high 80s in body checking or guys that aren't known for their 200ft game that have high defensive stats just so their overall can look better because they're one of the more well known players in the league. Realistically with how the overall system works the highest level two way players would be rated the highest. If they want it to work where it's more accurate to the players value/performance they should do it by role. They already have roles in there. So if say a Sniper has really high shooting stats that should be weighted higher than their defense stats because they're expected to score goals.
The way that EA could fix overalls is having each player type (sniper, playmaker, etc) have the categories weighed differently so different attributes have more weight and they don't need to artificially inflate certain stats in bump the overalls.
I know the contracts look bad for Philly but also got to realize too in 2025 they have 3 1sts and 3 2nds. (Not sure if the new franchise mode considers conditional draft picks or not) If not I believe the game will have them having the 3 first rounders and 3 second rounders.

EA has always juiced the overalls of certain teams best players. Boston, the original six team that is on TV alot in the US and doesn't have any exciting young players is a perfect candidate. Pasta is a good player but there should only be a handful of 95+ players in the entire league.

Pastranak defense is like the mackinnon 95/96 acceleration when kucherov is a 93... mackinnon had 200+ more 20mph speed bursts than any player including mcdavid, he should be at least 10 points above kucherov and probably should be the only 99 accel player in the game
not really, he’s still playing great but he is not averaging 100pts pace seasons like in his prime. 90-93 is good rating, anything lower is bad & anything higher is too much
@@georgiek143 The offense really isn't the problem with Crosby. If the Penguins had even a somewhat functional PP, he would easily have hit 100 points. It's the defensive side of Crosby's game that has started taking a hit lately.

jones at 87, pesce at 88, brodin at 89 is some crazy fucking work by ea. should be 83-84, 85, and 85 respectively.
Brodin is one of the best defensive players in the league so id say 87 or 88 is fair. Jones should be 85 and Pesce 84
