- Hi gang, hope all is good with your lives. This episode I'm looking at a surprisingly fun little game from 1965, Stay Alive from Milton Bradley. This is a game you can get pretty cheaply and its honestly worth picking up!

I have looked for this game for years. My brothers got this for Christmas’71 when I was 4 years old. All I was allowed to do was watch them play on days they were nice to me 😂
👍 Nice overview, as usual! Fun trivium: In the US back in the late ʼ70s, Vincent Price was the TV spokesman for Stay Alive, giving the game a most sinister affect. Break it out for Halloween! 🎃
As a child in the late 70s and 80s,I remember that commercial ("I'm the sole survivor..." accompanying alongside a creepy castle and mood setting thunder and lightening). He was also the spokesperson for the game Hangman too. I loved his game commercials and wished he made more. He was always as entertaining as the game itself!
@@Marthabrannonbabe I donʼt know how much Stay Alive retailed for in those days, but the Price is right when itʼs Vincent Price! When I saw those ads as a wee lad I think I didnʼt yet know who he was, but he was very effective. Of course nowadays Iʼm much more familiar with Priceʼs cinematic œuvre, and I can say that he gave _every_ role his all-a consummate professional!
I had one of those Hangman sets, actually! Of course, it seems very silly, Hangman being a quintessential pencil‐and‐paper game. Iʼm sure Priceʼs performance helped sell quite a few sets anyway!
played this only 2 months ago great simple game to be fair.....also last night i thought to myself wheres mr attic gone to haha love your channel buddy brings back blasts from the past & also memories to go along with it

Just bought some cool 14mm coloured marbles for this even though it has all the balls they were just plastic so treated it to some cool colours... Great nostalgia

Winning Moves licensed a tiny version of Stay Alive in 2005. I bought it.
Yeah, nice little game this, and definitely one that's easily found cheaply. This is the one that I found a copy of with the black balls replaced by mouldy hazelnuts! 🤮 😂
