F80 M3 is, uncontested, one of the most beautiful modern BMWs ever created. The moderate kidney grille and beautifully proportioned shoulder lines are to die for! Kinda pity that the carbon fiber cases are not available for Android/Samsung phones yet
Brother, this has been an excellent video. The guys were so respectful and well manered. The questions and answers, subtitles, everything 💯 Big thanks to your father in law for the knowledge and help translating. Both f80's looked great.
Thanks brother. Yes they were very respectful and I appreciate them coming out to this video shoot. I had a lot of fun filming and editing this video. I hope to do more of these in the future. The father in law, came in clutch!
Thanks so much for the video. Fantastic builds on both cars, very very clean through out, the cars, city, people. Seeing this mades me want to go to Japan. Hopefully next year...ALOHA!
I had some chills seeing that photo when I put it all together. It's amazing to see. Another reason why the @BMW Community tends to be one of the best.
It's a beautiful video, I think it is a manifestation of how BMWs have transcended culture. The cars look awesome and the people are nice. The Daily Driven is doing a great job for enthusiasts, keep it up! Beautiful country!
Really cool guys, loved the video. I feel like it's the same way with us Americans, we know America makes cars like Hellcats, Mustangs, and Corvettes but we want something different and better, so we go for the Germans. Enjoyed seeing their perspective.
I can totally agree with your statement for sure! It was great to be able to interview them. Seeing the culture difference yet be very similar to what we have here in the states is amazing to see
Both f80s are beauties man. I think one of the saddest thigns they stated is how all these young kids are jumping into hybrid and electrical cars and no longer interested in combustion.
Much cheaper than what I’ve heard for parking there. But even 150 bucks a month just to park is interesting. Both builds look sick and cool to see the same shop provided most of their mods.
Yeah I was actually expecting to hear a larger number. But I'm glad they're not getting really hassled with parking fines or fees. This was an epic video to film and also edit
I love how the #2 emphasized “I Hate It” to the M-Badging non-M car question 😂 It’s great to see BMWs getting some love in Japan…Mainland especially 🙌🏽🙌🏽💯
Actually after the video shoot, we were just chatting back and forth through Google translate. And they actually did not do that yet. But it is on their mind
@@nickviet9274 well, after Toyota engineers realized the B58 potential in terms of reliability, fuel economy and tuneability, which is as in line as their high expected standards was concerned, they made up their mind.
Right before we started filming, he took the front plate off. I believe he has a magnetic setup going on with that. He uses that to take it off when he takes photos of his car, but obviously puts it back on when he drives around the street
I got a response from them, and seems like the police haven't bothered them about their modifications. Neither of them have been fined for the mods. I only assume if you get caught doing some stupid at that point they can implement the fines
Honestly not much different than the US, usually exhaust, height, or engine modifications are illegal (state level). That’s why parts are sold for “off-road use”, but as long as you’re not being obnoxious or pulled over for some other infraction cops leave you alone.
Was super excited for this vid, Botha cars are dope af. I just can’t deal with those automatic shifts out of the loud exhausts. Just the automatic is bad enough….sheesh.
I clicked on this video bc I have a YMB f80 and then ran to the comments after I heard how awful the exhaust sounded. Definitely not all of us have this poor of taste.

"I live with my parents so parking is free"
Bros laugh killed me 🤣
Super cool to see and speak with some fans in Japan. Both F80’s are super dope but I also agree stop putting M badges on non M’s 😅
@16:20 Same vibe in South Korea. Some of the most helpful people I have ever met.
Another country I would love to visit 🤘🏻
@@TheDailyDriven Its worth it, bro. Very similar, the Koreans are more upfront with expressing themselves than the Japanese.

Thanks Jim! While editing these videos, further more makes me want to go back so badly lol. 🤘🏻
The white F80 is one of the cleanest examples I've seen god damn.
I definitely agree 💯💯
so cool to see people are inspired by other builds across the world

Very cool! love seeing f8x from japan
It was definitely awesome to capture these build in Japan 🇯🇵
This was seriously so cool! Those F80’s were definitely gorgeous 😍
This was a blast to film and edit 💯
So sick you got to capture some local builds bro, the OZ wheels on the white F80 are pure class 👌🏾
Yeah those OZ FUTURA wheels are timeless. It was definitely cool to capture a little bit of the BMW Community in Japan
I want more! The video was straight up fire
Thank you. I hope to be able to do more in the future 🙏🏻
Love you guys

I already have an f82.. welp guess I need both
Time to get another one lol !
Cleeeaaaannnn!!!!
Surprisingly it was meticulously very clean. Didn't really see many swirl marks when I was there filming
i already wanted one before i even saw this video haha
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 awesome
fantastic content.
Thank you for checking out the video 🙏🏻
I was curious if they were going to pop the hoods.. but it seems in Japan they keep engine mods to a minimum.
Yeah I did ask them about any other modifications underneath the hood, but they advised it was pretty much stock
you should ask them if they got their crankhubs upgraded XD
Actually after the video shoot, we were just chatting back and forth through Google translate. And they actually did not do that yet. But it is on their mind
8:58 the moment he said he hates the non m car that m badged right at the moment when an A90 Supra crossing by lmao
And??? Has a supra got an M badge 😂
@@V3LOCITY__ no hate on the Supra tho

Tokyo japan, Very nice, I hope to visit.
Yes! It is a must visit country. The food, the culture, the people are absolutely amazing.
This is off topic I like ur green jacket where’s it from😂😂 other than great video as always
The jacket is from Zara. Appreciate it and thanks for checking out the video 🤘🏻
Do more of these
I'll definitely will be in the future
I dunno guys what a gas station worker makes in a month in japan but what it seems kinda good for driving f80 m3....
That's exactly what I was thinking lol
He also said he lived at home with his parents, so that also helps.
Aren’t you supposed to have a front plate in Japan? How they get away with it from the cop?
Right before we started filming, he took the front plate off. I believe he has a magnetic setup going on with that. He uses that to take it off when he takes photos of his car, but obviously puts it back on when he drives around the street

Car unrelated the tumi sponsorship is no slouch. Great company
Totally agreed 👍🏻 💯

What is your exhaust setup on the Yas Marina Blue M3?
So if it's no longer legal to modify cars, do they just put up with constant fines from the police?
I'm actually going to ask them. That's a great question.
I got a response from them, and seems like the police haven't bothered them about their modifications. Neither of them have been fined for the mods. I only assume if you get caught doing some stupid at that point they can implement the fines

Exactly. As long as they aren't causing unwanted attention, they aren't getting messed with.
What they're trying to say is the M car is the japanese imports final form
Oh okay. Thank you
@@TheDailyDrivenlol I'm jk that was from DBZ perfect cell
Both got regular jobs and can afford the cars they want. This is impossible where im at
Yeah I was actually surprised when they told me what they did

The burble tunes are so rice, they do not belong on a bmw.
I was ready to want an F80 than I heard the embarrassing crackle tune and realized this isn’t my type of community.
It ain't for everyone. So what's your type of "community"?
Thats stupid 🤣
