Sorry, everyone is so rude. I actually learned a lot bc I have used human toothpaste and brush so thank you for saving my dogs life. Only done it a few times bc she wont let the brush enter her mouth at all.
Me too. Shes absolutely wont sit still and turns her head. I cant even land the brush in her mouth and she runs. I'm too old to catch her. Getting her done professionally once in a while isn't enough so what do I do? That why I came here to this video. I going to try and be less forceful and she is scheduled to get them brushed again next weekend . I cant go do that every day tho so I feel so bad for her.
Also most dogs eat dry kibble incorrectly. Primarily with their front teeth and it causes breaking on the incisors which will cause the top canines to come down further on the bottom canine splitting the canine tooth needing more dental work and possible tooth removal over time. It's best to actually soften your kibble if you're feeding that with water and soaking it for about 20 minutes to an hour depending on the kibble before putting down and letting the dog eat.
my dog is the best thing that's ever happened to me, but if i try to brush his teeth or cut his nails, I'll stress him so much its not worth it (he will fight but wont bite ME).. and a vet or groomer will lose their hand.. seems like my only option is to sedate him to keep him safe but at 10 years old i feel like that's not a very good option either... ideas?
Uhm I would don’t sedate your dog. My 12 year old small dog is the same way and he will try to bite me but maybe call an expert and/or get a person to hold them down! If this doesn’t help tell me so I can search more.
