Ya, he grew up where Daryl Hall is local hero (Birdsboro, PA and Hall is from nearby Pottstown)... In 90s, I'd stay summers w/ relatives in that area and was always surprised hearing grunge/metal kids praising Daryl Hall.
long on flashiness, short on emotional connectedness...guy can really play and sings pretty well, but goes over the top. More notes doesn't make for a better solo. Slow down a little and get in touch with the emotional core of the song...a great artist can make you cry with just one note:-) makes me think the band was coked up.
Charles Lewis, I see your point. There's a more recent version with the winery dogs that's better. He's mellowing with age. Ritchie Kitzen, the greatest musician most people don't know about.
I don’t know why he hasn’t been a guest on Daryls house. These two would be a perfect pair and Richie would bring that edge that Daryl’s music needs.
Daamn! I’ve always wanted a more rocky version of this song.
The enitire show was amazing... Richie is the most amazing and passionate player and musician...evah!
"superb talent" !!!!!!!!! amen! , "excellent version"!! of a GREAT classic 70's hit!
Beautiful song, great cover... Richie always rocks
145 thumbs down from people who could obviously, "Do it better.".
Damn this man knows how to feed a soul
He should be on "Live From Daryl's House" I bet those two would rock and do some killer soulful vocals together on their songs.
Good call. That would be awesome.
Ritchie Kotzen, always amazing!! love this guy!
Richie takes this song to another level. Even batter than Daryll Hall. His singing and guitar playing just blow me away.
His singing is not better but his guitar playing is unparalleled
Let’s not get carried away. He can play and sing but Darryl Hall will still sing him under the table.
I cant get enough of this, I hope he records this in his new album
Best version I heard him do of this number.Tremendous job on the recording here also. The Best this guy.
That shredding was insanely crisp!
This is so blisteringly great!!
Always been a Hall & Oates fan.Richie has sung this song so cool . RESPECT .

He is like a Joe Perry. You nailed it with a more rocky rendition. Two finger picks up!

Playing slow doesn't equal emotion or "feel". That's a ridiculous notion.
