Well done, Bushwhacker and video. The tent stakes were something I was looking for after camping out on frozen ground this past weekend. A portable step stool of some type is essential. The stock steps are for helping with access to the roof, instead of a step ladder.
Glow in the dark tent stakes that you can install using an impact wrench?! Now there is a great idea! No more bending the cheap ones with a claw hammer! Lol.👎🏻🤬🔨
I have that same front box on my FreeSolo. I love the amount of room it gives me. I also have those stakes as well. Absolute must have for desert camping! Been a while since I have visited your channel Brian. Hope all is well. Talk to you soon, Pat
Love the ladder mod. I’m always trying to find a place to hang wet towels, socks, rain gear, putting them on hangers hanging from the awning can be a headache in the wind. Don’t need the water heater on a 12SK, but a hard mounted towel rack would be convenient. When I saw her step stool it reminded me that the factory side step placement, for me, is almost useless. So, I removed the self tapping mounting bolts, dropped the step, aligned the top step holes with the lower frame holes, then drilled pilot holes in the step flange just above the bottom of the frame. Replace the bolts and the entire step is 2 inches lower. Big difference for getting in and out.
@@DIYOutdoorLife thank you for accepting the invite from my wife... She is already making a list of all the things she wants to change, I didn't think this through lol
Welcome to our home state of Texas. I am really impressed with all the gadgets on the Freesolo. Excellent interview Brian!
Texas was amazing! The next time I swing through I hope we can get together and make some collaborations!!

I really like those stakes as well, they are in my shopping cart!
Thanks for swinging by !

They look like a must have, theyre in my cart!
Good to see you in my neck of the woods! I didn’t see a link to the wrap-around mount. Did I miss it?
Texas was great.
Which mount?
You kind of glossed over it but is there an issue with the “infamous” awning room?
I dont know of any issues. Couple more tours coming with the same rear galley awning rooms.
Link for the ladder (truck step) ?
I can't believe I missed that link… Thank you!

Love all the mods, we too have those stakes, and they are so handy to hold down everything. Bushwhacker ON ! ❤
Those stakes are now in my Amazon shopping cart! ... this hobby gets expensive 😆
@DIYOutdoorLife I say we take a poll, " Who has cause you to spend the most money on your Bushwhacker" no doubt.. Brian Smith. 😂😅❤

Genius!
I'm with you, I don't need the hot water heater, but I want to do the ladder mod just for extra storage.
Wow this is a complete teardrop setup, congrats
I agree, she did a great job!
Nice build out.
I agree, she did a great job!
These videos are awesome, I have plucked mods I plan on doing to my bushwacker from many of these.
Thank you so much for watching! This is the reason I keep making these, I learn a cheap and easy mod for my rig every time I meet someone.
Hey Brian! Glad you got to Texas. Can't wait to see the other campers...
Great people, hoping some make it to the East Coast for the Bushwhacker boil!
How do we find about the rally’s and events? My wife and I would love to attend one when you’re in our area!
Are you on facebook?
@@DIYOutdoorLife my wife is, I didn't even think about that. I'll have her go look for it, can you link it for me?
