Listen I know nothing about this except for they look in love. But why do they just make out in front of ppl wasn't that like majorly illegal? Also why is black haired dude sometimes wearing a dress (to clarify I am NOT opposed just confused because of the historical context)
all the court knew about their story. nobody said anything (at least, not in their faces) because the king was ok with all of that. Nobody cared about Philip and Chevalier relationship (only a few were worried that maybe chevalier was using philip and his position as the king's brother but that weren't his intentions so...). They only cared that there was an heir. so, if Philip had a boy with his wife it was fine for everyone if he wasn't in love with her but with Chevalier. They only cared about the status. Sometimes Philip has a female dress because (in real History) often for the official paintings his mother and father made him wore a dress, because he needed to be "less important" than his brother in the paintings. He himself said "I had to be less "shiny", to not be the cloud that covered the sun". (sorry for my bad explanation lol)
