I don't know which back story is the saddest the fact that Ciels parents died in a horrible fire and he was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and burned or the fact that Alois and his younger brother were bullied by their entire town and when his brother made a deal with a demon (who turns out to be Hannah) their entire town burned to the ground and Alois's brother died and he was sent to live in a boys home ran by a pedo...
Both are really awful... That's why I really can't stand when ciel's fan treat alois like shit... Yana herself said that they are the two sides of the same coin.
@@aloysesmindscape6070 for real though! I honestly don't have a character I hate in any anime because at the end of the day they've been through their own shit just like people irl. Not that we're the same lol but you know what I mean I hope... But for me my favorite characters are actually the triplets who get overlooked. If you ever hear them talking all they talk about is how much they hate Alois its kinda funny 😅 that's probably why he ordered them to remain silent because he can't take their crap.

Alois just wanted to be truly loved and he desperately put his all into Claude, only for Claude to kill him for being "distasteful". I think that's truly heart breaking. A poor, abused boy, just looking for love and stability was wronged by the one he wanted to be loved by most. Which is why I'm very fond of Hannah, she loved him and did all she could for him, even if Alois found her annoying.
