Yes, it is. The mixing of various kinds of music is another attraction of his music. He loves classical music, jazz, rock, R&B, rap, EDM, Indian style, city pop, old Japanese songs like Enka, and many more. It's wonderful.

I just discovered Fujii a few months ago.I loved what I heard. I ordered a CD (from japan) I couldn't wait for it to come. Then I had to immediately order his 2nd. I have a Bose stereo in my car and woah! I am totally obsessed and I am also 72 yrs. Great music crosses all boundaries

Fuji Kaze’s music and performance are like a great film with multiple genres placing at the right moment. He is the most talented musicians at all time in my opinion.

Fujii kaze he's my favorite singer
i love the way he sings it too, it's very emotional lyrics but he's delivering not as if its a plea for love just a statement. like his partner asked a dumb question and he's like, of course, it's you...there is nothing else BUT you idiot. A western artist would have so much facial tension and he is just speaking *singing* facts

its interesting how you said you feel like he should open his mouth more when singing. I watched another producer react to a different japanese singer and they said the same thing. I guess its a more common technique in Japan to actually put more tension in their jaw when singing?
It's also because we don't open mouth when we speak that wide compared to English. And the way he pronounces Japanese sounds kinda "mysterious" and it sounds so attractive and vibey

I feel like the genre 'pop' (sometimes) is as much of a cop out as "indie alternative" LOL I love me some Fuji Kaze, but I wouldn't know if categorizing him as pop is all the way accurate. He usually adds all types of different elements into his music.

As a vocalist, changing keys so often in a song and doing those kind of runs in a more relaxed tone is one of the highest difficulties in not missing a pitch. That’s what impressing me the most.
Would love if you guys would expand your focus on music scenes around the world (like the herrera siblings). Tho it'll take some time, but it would probably expand your viewer base and your music knowledge as well.
