1:48 You can tell you are old when the biggest scare you take from that cliff is the thought of how high that home's insurance rate must be. Cliffside and it rains pretty hard? jeezus. terrifying.
Ive said something about this before. But jesse and especially the SGS are some of the brightest spots in an otherwise horrible time in my life. Thank you boys for giving me at least a few minutes where I can get lost in something I genuinely enjoy and forget about life for a little while.
Hey, fellow SGS fan! Just wanted to send you some support - while I don't know what's going on in your life, I can relate to a state of depression and hopelessness. And SGS did help me a lot as well in dark moments I went through. Please hang in there, and reach out - you're not alone, and you can get through this!
Bit late to the party but that scientist you talked too through the glass is DR. Bright. That amulet he was wearing essentially lets him live forever by body hopping with it.
im amazed the others havnt been down the rabbit hole of SCP. I would love for you guys to do a Special Scary Game Squad where you just read and share SCPs you find interesting.
I can't BELIEVE they got the Volgun to voice act in this game. For those who don't know, the announcer over the PA is pretty much the top SCP youtuber, and reads SCP's in character.
the SCP he was talking about the one with the chains is called the eater of worlds and when they found it there where 3 chains to broke becaus of the foundation and they are doing everything they can to stop the last chain from breaking with a row of rituals. so yes when the last one does break in the end. the world will be destroyed, but that is just one of many
This seems like it could be really cool when they finish it. Always love learning about more SCPs that isn’t just the standard ones shoved into something.
I’m pretty sure the doctor you speak to is Dr Bright. He’s kind of the mad scientist of the SCP Foundation who was killed while holding the necklace he’s wearing. It contains his consciousness, so he “possesses” whoever wears it. The downside is whoever wears it is permenantly possessed by Dr Bright even if the necklace is removed, and the host is often killed when he moves to a new body otherwise there’d be a bunch of Dr Brights running around. The last time I checked, he was possessing a monkey, but he might have changed hosts since then. Either way, I’m interested to see how this game depicts him, if he’s in the actual game and not just the demo. He’s one of my favourite doctors because he has quite a bit of depth to him.
Second game for spooktober, keep 'em coming boys! Always love it when the squad delves into the crazy world of SCP. Also I know this has been recorded a while, but welcome back Jirard. I really hope that he is doing okay.
My favorite SCP was a machine that could produce any drink that a person asked for. Hot chocolate would be made according to the person who asked for it's childhood, made the way their parents would make it for example. One scientist asked for a cup of joe, and they got a thick meaty red liquid instead of coffee. The other researcher started feeling ill, and he was missing some of his flesh from the inside when they checked him out. His name was Joseph
323 is a reference to SCP 323, the Wendigo skull, which is a weird deer skull that compels people to put it on their head by any means necessary. Putting it on transforms them into an emaciated humanoid that has to eat people every 24 hours, or the person dies from starvation The monkey statue is a Skip that can teleport to whoever in the building is the king of pranks. The more elaborate the prank, the more the monkey will stay with you. 184 is The Architect, a thing that increases the size of a building it's in on its inside via duplication, without changing the dimensions of the building on the outside. At first, duplications make sense, but after a certain number, the rooms get nonsensical, with things like a kitchen made entirely of spun glass, a living room made of jade and llama hair, or a carpet made of sharpened tungsten. It can duplicate organic materials, but not living things
Ugh, the not deer's description. Major pet peeve of mine when people describe an animal's hind legs as "bent backwards". That's the ANKLE YOU'RE LABELING AS A BACKWARDS KNEE!
I just realized that the camcorder screen being lower res is incredibly clever because it's both aesthetically cool for immersion, but also saves on processing power since the game is basically loading two versions of each level at all times (see also, Medium).
I just want to take a minute to shout out Jirard and everything he brings to not only SGS, but all the things he works on and does. Keep your head up, man, we all love you!
38:50 That SCP Jessie talks about having broken all but one chain. The third season of Love Death and Robots has a short which I'm now guessing is based on that. In Vaulted Halls Entombed.
Fun Fact: that mysterious device used for the weird hexagony object is just a device for knitting gloves. It just holds the yarn so you can knit the fingers off of it and keep track of how long each is going to be.
That "All Spark" thing is just a knitting or croshe accessory. Can't remember exactly what for but my wide looked at getting one for that kind of crafting.
One of my favorite SCP's is an entity that attaches itself to books and rewrites them. the books remain mostly unchanged saved for the addition of a minor background character i think consistently named Dave. One of the first I've read but I have no idea what number its designated and that was years ago.
Happy to see another SQS episode, love it so much. I doubt this will get seen but if the squad wants suggestions there is a horror game on steam that plays like classical horror survival titles such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Alone in the Dark. I saw it and instantly thought of our beloved squad.
Seems like a really well done SCP game with nice little easter eggs as well, like the Dr they saw through the glass window there at the end wearing his Very Specific Amulet.
I love the scp universe. Been reading it for years and picked it up again recently or whenever I'm bored. There's several thousand. The one jesse talked about that's chained up is the Scarlet King, one of the best ones. A particularly creepy aspect of his containment is project Montauk, described in 231. A personal favorite of mine is 2316.
Would love to see you guys go back and playthrough containment breach in full, not knowing the electric fench in the hallway went off when you got close enough so you can pass through after the shock limited the progress so much
Man I'd love SGS just going over SCP videos on TH-cam. Jesse kinda seems to know the most about the Foundation, so he should find videos on certain things and play those for the Squad. Reality Benders and You: How to Survive When Existence Doesn't is a good example. As is the Ethics Committee Orientation and O5 Orientation videos. And then ones for objects themselves, of course.
I thought SCP was just the one game with the weird looking aliens, didn't know it was its own thing. Need to investigate it further cuz I'm digging it, and I definitely need a SGS playthru when the full Annie game drops!
Agree with Jirard, 0/10 for doggo. 10/10 for everything else. Would love it if a sequel to Control explored this concept, as they did introduce the idea of a shadowy cabal trying to artificially create objects.
Amazing! A game I didn't even know I wanted being played by my favourite content team. Now THIS, is a great surprise! Can you guys play more SCP now that its all but finished? Please? I'll buy the beers?!
For the record, the guy at 32:10 is Dr. Bright, one of the most important characters in SCP lore. Dude got fused with an anomalous necklace, and anyone who puts on the necklace has their mind replaced with that of Dr. Bright. This means that Dr. Bright is immortal but if he dies the only way to come back is by having a living person put on the necklace, effectively killing the person who puts it on.
I swear every time I see a new sgs video I become a child who sees candy.
I rewatch their let's plays a unhealthy amount of times.
Same, same! I've even created a playlist for myself so I have all playthroughs in one place and in a specific order 😂
sometimes i fall asleep to their little nightmares or resident evil 7 play throughs
@@MysteriousPear802 Wow yeah, their re7 is literally a comfort watch I put on when everything else is too much
Feels. I always end up going back to until dawn.
most rewatchable let's plays imo
right up there with the pokecapn sonic playthroughs
I had to double check the date when Jirard said he was back
When I saw 1 year ago it was like... OH
Jesse's callback to an over 8 year old Cox n Crendor moment makes me unreasonably happy!
ISSA SO GOOD!
When I saw the goat head I got excited lol
FINALLY A NEW EPISODE OF SCARY GAME SQUAD 😍
WAY BETTER THAN SCARY GAME TRICEP
@@Troubadour313 ha. is it safe to assume they misspelled squad as quad?
We’re probably getting faith chap 3 when it comes out later this month too
@@evertime123 yeah I actually assumed that's what this was when I saw the scary game squad thumbnail
Unexpected twist to have this be an SCP game. Can't wait to see ya'll return to the finished product. The whole replication angle is fascinating.
5:02 "I judge when you hurt an animal" I admire/appreciate Jirard in general, but this moment is especially so genuine. Thanks mate.

It's been a few months, hopefully things are better now?
Bit late to the party but that scientist you talked too through the glass is DR. Bright. That amulet he was wearing essentially lets him live forever by body hopping with it.
aw Jirard sounds so dejected in the beginning. knowing what we know, this makes me sad. on a happier note this is gonna be a good one!

i thought Davis wasn't there at the start 😂
just jumped into game, no introduction no nothing 🙀
Aw man that "heroes" bit hit too hard.
I loved that show when it started airing and it just....it soap opera-d so hard by the end
Season 1 was good. It was unfortunate that they pushed a second season during the writer's strike, though, as it clearly suffered.
This seems like it could be really cool when they finish it. Always love learning about more SCPs that isn’t just the standard ones shoved into something.
Honestly if yall just read a bunch of scps all day I'd watch.
Holy shit, that scientist was Dr Bright. What a fun little scp game.
SCP-963 Dr Bright
I love how its a subtle one too. Like "Oh that's a weird neck- Wait a second."
From the sound of things he might be up to some shenanigans too
@@calliebuni Is Dr Bright ever not up to shenanigans? :P
6:58 this gun belongs in a Quentin Tarantino movie.
Also this game looks awesome and it gives me vibes similar Madison.
