The Carve top Solid color and metallics give the brand a pretty good identity. I really like this direction. It could be the one thing that really distinguishes the brand from others
Hi rob after serious thought considerations i invested in three Chapman guitars and finally satisfied with tones and body especially neck with playing i obtained from your shop in Surrey from Mr Lee and certainly enjoyed the action and sounds thanks again rob for these guitars and hopefully you have more cooking up ideas for more designs and guitars in near future!
That carve is crazy! Kind of looks like the body was formed, rather than carved. Very smooth. And that switch... a thing we didn't know we needed, until we saw it. I wonder if that 10-way switch could be hooked up, in some fashion, to the new 3-voice Fishmans. 30 configurations? A weapon of mass destruction? A luthier's expensive nightmare? Who can say?
Absolutely love the binding on these guitars, unfortunately new ones are a little tricky to find in Canada. Would love to see the Chapman take on a double jet style 🥺🙏
Really interesting specs on that guitar. I put a Free-way switch in my normal SSS Strat and it's transformative. I'd like to see what it can do in an H-H guitar.
I would love to know if Satchel has got his hands on one of these Pegasus Guitars. Would love to know what he thinks.. Maybe he would not be able to say seeing that he is endorsed by Charvel. I bet he would love it.. Chapman guitars are Amazing.. Really hard to get your hands on one in Canada though.. I wish that Long & Mcquade had them. Rob, Have you ever thought of bringing out an ES style semi hollowbody out in the Chapman range?
here ye the sticky floor comment from the OC (about 2 blocks south of Disneyland) in my humble effort to appease said AI over lords! see you soon? cheers! ron:)
Wasn't this released/announced last year at NAMM along with numerous other models? As a long time fan I have a hard time getting excited about "releases" that us customers can't seem to purchase. Is there a plan to combat this lag?
Manufacturing, especially recently has taken an absolute age, these are actually available right now, dealers in America should probably start receiving them early February. Europe has them in some places a couple of weeks from now and England the same
Russ breaks character, at least when he's out of uniform after a show. Could easily be mistaken for an unusually cool suburban dad (minus Dad Bod, of course). 😄
Nice guitar. But for the purpose of showcasing the sound, could you use a mic on the speaker cab as opposed to the general video mic. That guitar deserves better mic placement!
Fair enough and no offense, I enjoyed the video -- I like your videos in general But in my opinion that guitar sounds way better than what comes over of it -- sound wise -- in this video. The playing is great of course. But maybe a bit less room mic and bit more of the guitar amp signal? The room is fairly resonant, it's a real room, not a treated acoustic space, and that's nice for spoken voice, very natural, friendly. All good. This is a cool guitar, clearly. It's worthwhile switching to 80% amp vs room I think, whilst you are playing. Like I want to hear more of you playing it, but less of the ambience.
If I would ever be able to own a Chapman, it would be this one. I’m a massive fan of SP, but it’s really an incredible guitar with cool innovations - and there aren’t too many short scale Strats out there that would allow for easier playing and bending. You should be totally proud of what you’ve built and created, with Chapman and musically! If you ever have a Pegasus demo (or open box return) that you wouldn’t mind “loaning” to an ill woman like me who is homebound, you’d totally make me SO happy - and I’d be deeply grateful because I only own a single acoustic guitar. No pressure. I know you have a business to run, but just keep me in mind if you’re ever looking to give one of these incredible guitars to someone in need. My deets are in my bio.🤘🏻🎸❤️🔥🙏🏻😇
I really hope we get a full video of the new Chris Robertson sig. Only a few pictures from his appearance at namm.... Really poor show considering how big a deal it is to have him as a signature artist.
Trust me, they immediately wanted to call it the Pegasus. It was as if that came to them in a flash! Stix actually told me they were thinking of writing a song about the guitar
Think I’m falling in love this guitar 🙌 each time I see a picture or video of it, a little drool falls from the corner of my mouth. 🔥🤘
Beautiful…and sounds great!
Rock on and a Big hug from Portugal!
I was at the Steel Panther "Feel the Steel" CD release party at Newbury Comics in 2009!! Looking forward to seeing you next week, Rob!
That thing is sick, clear to see you're really putting the time effort and most of all LOVE into your creations.
I was just looking this guitar up the other day to see if it was being made. Glad to see a video pop up.
Ill probably pick one up, love the freeway switch. Unique little fiddle.
The Carve top Solid color and metallics give the brand a pretty good identity. I really like this direction. It could be the one thing that really distinguishes the brand from others
Switching on this is insane - never seen this type before! Thanks for loving the Steel Panther guys as much as we do!
This is so exciting! An actual guitar selling WITH the fancy new tech!
Man that guitar is amazing I've never seen blade switching like that
God bless Rob. Love it live in the US hope to see them soon
Stunning! 💖

That is great news to hear you have secured USA dealerships. Look forward to playing one
That's a great looking axe, love the gold hardware on purple 💜 sounds shredd-a-lishous!
That's probably the prettiest guitar I've ever seen

That’s down to our new factory, they have crazy good state of the art CNC machines
Nice to see the SP guys get some more recognition for the true musicians that they are.
BEAUTIFUL GUITAR! Steel Panther rocks so f*cking hard!
Absolutely love the binding on these guitars, unfortunately new ones are a little tricky to find in Canada. Would love to see the Chapman take on a double jet style 🥺🙏
It's nice that is Rob.....the purple is probably a bit much for me but I hope you've got loads of em cos I feel they'll fly out the door.
Sounds great!
That is one cool looking /sounding guitar and the colour is top notch
Sounds smashingly smashing. That switching is a dream come true. What’s that purple taste like?
It’s tastes like Strippers
Really interesting specs on that guitar. I put a Free-way switch in my normal SSS Strat and it's transformative. I'd like to see what it can do in an H-H guitar.
I don't own any Chapman guitar but that purple colour is definitely beautiful
One of the few S type guitar with 24.75 scale on the market. It has the signature "creamy" sound as my guitar teacher would've called it.
very cool,,, well done m8
Beautiful guitar.
Would by fun to see Chapman style RR guitar;)

that is one beautiful axe
A guitarra ficou linda
Looks beautiful, What was the scale length ?
That freeway switch looks most intresting, would certainly save on the push/pulls.
Nice geetar is that :)
sick guitar, anyone else see that massive bee fly onto robs back 1:34 ish in
Rob, are you going to make something similar in the standard range - ML1 or 3 with 24.75 scale length and 22 frets?
Hello Robert SUtherland. Id like ti introduce myself, Im Robert G Sutherland and I love your channel
Gives off serious Eastwood vibes; if Chapman and Eastwood did a metal collab….
Hi Rob! Just saw what happened as i was driving by, praying for you.
Now that they’ll be more available in America….is Canada close behind?
Well fingers crossed!
@@RobChappers !!GASP!! Don’t tease this maple syrup bleeder! 😂

What's the scale length of this? website says 25.5" and that's not short scale guitar. or am I wrong?
Are you making that in a left handed variant, as well? Because I want that guitar hanging on my wall next to my Matt Heafy Les Paul.
what is that riff at 2:03?! is that a Chapper's riff?!
Just improvising bro :-)
@@RobChappers you should turn that one into a track. so heavy... and the pick rake you threw in there... nice!

When you say shortscale, do you mean 24.75", or 24"?
24.75”
Nice guitar. But for the purpose of showcasing the sound, could you use a mic on the speaker cab as opposed to the general video mic. That guitar deserves better mic placement!
Hi dude, The audio from this video is a blend of a Mike at the cab, which is a condenser and a room mic which is a ribbon

Pretty guitar. I like the curves.
All Your Base Are Belong To Us.
The name "Pegasus" is no where near offensive enough for a Steel Panther guitar.
Trust me, they immediately wanted to call it the Pegasus. It was as if that came to them in a flash! Stix actually told me they were thinking of writing a song about the guitar
To be completely honest I don't care for the sound of this Chapman guitar and the purple is hideous .
