    Thank you for this interview,
I am an artisan , I have musical dreams , and have had dreams with Paco .
A long time ago in the 80s I had bad luck with money and customers . Before sleeping I said , I have skill , I don't want to live like this . I must have an answer , or I will give up what I do and get a job like other people. I dreamed :
I am in a circle , we are all facing the center . Paco spoke to me , with his eyes , as it can be in dream .
" We all share this thing that we love , and each one has something to give . If you have trouble , be more determined , and fight harder than before . "
That morning a visitor paid me for work , my money problems were solved .
The last two dreams of Paco were in the month before he passed ; I have not seen him in dream since . I miss him .

What an absolute treasure to hear Paco de Lucia telling in English about his approach to the guitar. My respect for this man is enormous, not only for being one of the greatest guitarists who's ever lived but for his humanity and humble attitude. I once saw a clip of him and his brother playing and of course Paco being Paco lit the room up. When the piece was over the thunderous applause was mostly directed at him and the expression on his face was not that of an ego being gratified but was reserved and tentative as if to say, "what about my brother, he deserves as much applause." I love the man.

Paco's self criticism demonstrates perfectly the adage that only the fool has total confidence whereas a wise man is filled with doubt. Here we have one of the most highly regarded instrumentalists in all of history and he is filled wit anxiety at the prospect of performance, does not like the sound of his recordings and feels his playing is filled with imperfection. It is of course that very hyperacuity that enabled him to become the genius he was.

A wonderful view. I think about how the guitar can be my interpreter. I'm mute in a way as I can not sing but it can be my voice, together we will find the words.

The man is being interviewed with the guitar in his hand while practicing arpeggios silently.
This is what I call an obsession...
