    Thank you Stu! I'd been struggling with strumming all week and becoming increasingly frustrated, until I discovered your tutorial. Love it. Well done :)

    Thank you! Finally the explanation to that ''chuck'' all the ukulele players are producing. And I just couldn't figure out how! But now I know! Awesome!
    I just discovered your tutorials yesterday. They are simply the best and provide all the missing pieces for me. 👍

    Nicely explained
    - especially about the backbeat. Many strummers miss this point. Well done!

    Great tutorial! Very useful to a Ukulele newcomer. Is there a follow up video? Maybe covering 4/4 vs 3/4 timing and different patterns for different songs? On TH-cam there doesn't seem to be a clear sequence of your tutorials. Superb style and encouraging manner make your lessons easier to follow than most on here.

    Yes nicely explained.
    I used to think the backbeat was the same as the up-strum.

    Thank you. I'm finally getting viable upstrokes with the index finger. Still have a ways to go to getting close the sound being the same for both the down stroke and the up stroke.

    This is brilliant! I've been trying to improve my strum - technique and rhythm and timing - forever! Well since I started playing with the uke a few years ago. I think if I practice these ideas regularly it might help a lot! Thank you!

      Works for me Marie. We all have different physiology, though the main lesson here is to have clean eight notes (down up down up) with an accented back beat. (2 & 4) :duDuduDu love to hear how you go after trying these ideas.

    I have trouble with my non strum fingers clicking on 😮the uke top.

    • @ukemullum
      @ukemullum  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm. Maybe change the shape of your arm and wrist to angle those fingers away from the top. Hard to know without seeing whats happening for you.
