Happy 30th anniversary Muppet Christmas Carol
YIKES! Where has the time gone? My favorite movie , *Phantom of the Paradise* is going to be 50 next year. Double Yikes!
I miss Steve being with the Muppets. He was great with Kermit and Rizzo. Along with Beaker and Bean Bunny.
Bloody shame the axed him, they aren't the same without him.
his name was BEAN BUNNY? What a cutie
This movie is almost as old as I am😂😂 but seriously one of the best renditions of the classic tale.
Mickey's Christmas Carol is as old I am (40).
Ever since then, it seems that Gonzo has become the most popular muppet from the Muppet Show. He's had more playing roles than any other muppet in movies and specials since.
Pretty much
I remembered that this movie came out in the same year as Aladdin. RIP JIM HENSON!
A Christmas classic 👍
I love "The Muppet Christmas Carol".
All the work that goes into these movies is incredible! And to have Jim's son carrying on the legacy is amazing , as Mr Caine said you can see the puppeteer talking but your eyes are drawn to the Muppet they have a whole magic of their own
I remember this movie and it's on Disney plus. I love this movie and I love the Muppets.
Frank Oz has it spot on. Characters. And they are. Muppets are just people...with visible souls (performers).
I love that movie! It's one of the best! I love when Dave Goelz said ".."and it could be changed." Or something like that." LOL 6:07
love the Muppets and this is my favorite movie….im glad i didn’t have to hear Miss Piggy sing too much!
This documentary should have been on the DVD.
Not to be a downer, but wow this made me miss when people put effort into movies. All those puppets, models, matte paintings, costumes... so much effort and talent and passion. Now they'd just greenscreen the whole thing and CGI everything else.
I hear that.
Sure, there's less opportunity for effort for paintings and practical effects, but let's not downplay the huge amount of effort that goes into any bit of CGI. People work hard on that stuff, even if it's harder to understand exactly how they do it. And in recent years, practical effects have been making a comeback, so it's more of an equal playing field now. Everyone gets to contribute.
@@MutterNonsense234 I know it's hard work but it's sad to see so much wonderful craftsmanship be replaced by one thing which actors can't even interact with and doesn't even often look great since they underpay everyone in the industry.
CG does take work but looking at this compared to like the more recent Muppets Haunted Mansion., which was just Gonzo in front of a green screen for an hour. Doesn’t have the same charm as real sets.
I love Muppets
This is my favorite Christmas movie, and it is almost my favorite movie of all time

Crazy seeing Steve Martin at the end. How culture has changed... guess we've got Tik Tok now.
I’d love to know how they did the doorknob scene. I just can’t imagine how they did that transition.
