HYNN is like taking all the best parts of top vocalists and combining them into one package. On top of that, her own discography is god tier. She's also only 25 years old so there's a decade or more left of her career at peak condition. Really, the only thing missing is more recognition, especially internationally.
HYNN made her first debut in Superstar K 2016. She got very high grades and showed a very good performance there. Please react to "higher" and "stand up for you"
oh Hynn! ♥ Love her so much - as you know. She could sing everything and sounds great. God I love "When I tell you goodbye". The acapella version still my fave. 2:38 Even though I need to correct you. She's not the first 'belter' or powerhouse there. Someone forgot over Big Mama here? And rock singer Ha Hyunwoo (Gukkasten) was there as well - ridiculously good singer from lows (which really impress me) to high. He mixes though (like Sohyang does if you're confused) and isn't a more chesty belting like Hynn or Ailee. (You sadly never checked his stage, right? At the masked singer he still has the record of 9 consecutive wins). His range is insane. As a reference, Hynn and Ha Hyunwoo covered "She's gone" and both went up to the climax (which is for Hynn insane since she's chestier), and Ha Hyunwoo is easily going up there as well. Oops, went off here. ^^ And I love Mamamoo but i wouldn't put Solar here from a technical point of view. 5:30 there are so many good ballad singers in the kballad scene, you just don't know them :) (ex. Shin Yong Jae (who was on killing voice, his belting is incredibly good as well, adore his tone, his high notes and his songs) ,Maktub, Lee Yejoon (if you're searching for power vocals she's the one), Sin Ye Yeon, Jang Ye jin, Leeze.. I could go on haha
Thanks for covering HYNN, She is my favorite singer since she attended Super Star K in 2016. HYNN had hard times due to her family's financial difficulty, but she didn't give up and here she is. She has everything. Her singing skill is at the top tier. She has good characteristics (kind and humble). She is beautiful :) I 100% agree that she deserves more attention. BTW, 'nun-kot(눈꽃)' is not a real flower. Nun is snow and Kot is a flower as you know. So it is like a flower on snow.
You mentioned the 'last train'. Yes. It is a sad song that she wrote the lyrics by herself. It contains her times that she took the last train every day after practice. Part of the song is like 'I thought why I was not born in a rich family, but when I thought like that I felt unhappy - I didn't like me.' So it is the favorite song among her fans because they knew her story. Now you know it too :)
Omg what you said about ballads is so true for me as well. And I feel like most ballads that tops the charts in Korea (like most OSTs imo) are those more monotonous ballads that I find kinda boring. And that's why HYNN is my favorite (also some Kwon Jin Ah recently).
Definitely she deserves much more worldwide attention! Surely she needs a producer as giant as the one Beyonce has, for instance. But will she ever be able to travel all around the world leaving China?

They're pretty much the same but in that video, she reads comments while singing her most liked songs on MelOn and her choice of songs.
