Do you own stock or are you thinking of investing in a company that is going through a stock split or reverse split? Check out our latest video that explains why companies do this and what it means for investors: th-cam.com/video/biztfte1iWg/w-d-xo.html

I never post comments, but I wanted to thank you for the easy to understand explanation for Canadians. I'm recently able to start saving and investing, and the idea of building a dividend portfolio seemed to resonate more with me than traditional investments... The problem is, TH-cam is saturated with American content - so this was a needed refreshing take.
    Thank you.

Great video! Thanks for being so informative. If possible, can you dive into explaining eligible dividends and ineligible dividends that qualify for the dividend tax credit, if you not have already, please? Thanks a millions !

If a Canadian RRSP investor purchases an American ETF (listed on a US Exchange) the 15% Withholding Tax will be ignored by the IRS. Is the 15% Withholding Tax ignored if an RRSP investor purchases a Cdn bank ETF that holds all US stocks like ZWK? BMO Tax Explanation says that BMO buys and holds US stocks in their accounts to eliminate the tax issue. As a result will a Cdn RRSP investor who purchases an ETF of US stocks only from a Cdn Bank for example have to pay the 15% Withholding Tax or would they be better just buying an ETF off a US exchange themselves?

Wow awesome video thanks for sharing, I’m gonna keep an eye on those dividend stocks. I heard AT&T is a good one. Only issue is if it is bought in a TFSA account, wouldn’t that be added to your contribution limit?

Hi Thirty and Retired, dividends and investment growth won't take up room in either your TFSA or your RRSP account. You just want to be cautious of US dividends within your TFSA account which are taxable. You can learn more about how foreign investments are taxed here: th-cam.com/video/8laJYxXbOKY/w-d-xo.html
Great question, thanks for asking as I am sure many others are wondering the same thing.

I've been mostly in mutual funds for the last 15 years. Assuming they've grown a bit, I'm looking to take what I have and use that buying power to establish some good quality dividend yields. Your video has been very helpful.
Is there any way in that screener tool or any other method to track any consistencies in a company's dividend yields so I know if a large payout is too good to be true?
