Most of the updates and credits you can claim in this video are Federal. We'll be posting new videos soon for benefits and credits specific to each province. If there is anything else you would like to see, please let us know 😀

Love this channel, I sold my house in 2020 and had no idea I had to disclose that, you probably saved me a lot of money and aggravation, I just wished you posted more often !

Will CRA accept a medical expense credit for Covid PCR tests required when returning to Canada? It was mandated by Health Canada.

Very helpful especially on the RRSP for new Canadian residents. First time this makes sense. So what do you do if you already made RRSP contributions and your RRSP room is currently Zero? Do you not file it this year and can it be carried forward to 2023 (2022 tax year)?

Hi chukwuemeka, you may have seen my reply on another message but I think it would be helpful to have someone file your taxes with you this year. There are different rules depending on whether it is a group rrsp through work but there is a bit of a buffer on contribution room and you can deduct it in a different year if needed. A tax professional will be able to give you accurate advice based on your specific financial situation.
