  • Understanding a line diagram is the most important part of an engineer's life on Ship. I still remember the days of struggle when my confidence was shattered because of my inability to understand the line diagrams. Today even as a Chief Engineer, I still need to go through the line diagrams along with my team to sort all technical issues on ship. Line diagram is a basic and most important part of any marine engineer's life.
    If you really find this sort of video interesting then the longer version will help you understand the system completely and effectively. This video is taken from Dreamer Package linked here-

    Very good video, congratulations. I work in my country's customs and border patrol. I would like to ask you a question. Unfortunately, we are having problems with drugs being inserted into the seachest by criminal divers. Is there some type of sensor on the ship that can vary and detect its presence? For example, a pump pressure sensor, water flow sensor, eletric cathodic protection? Is there any system or sensor in the ship that vary with the insertion of many kilos of drugs into the seachest? Thank you very much

    Sir can u make or explain how u made notes from manual onboard

    • @merchantnavydecoded
      @merchantnavydecoded  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Beta i never made notes from manuals , thats like reading books. Each day whatever I learnt or whatever troubleshooting was done , that I used to write down. Why ? Because while writing I understood that there were a lot of flaws in my understanding the concept and then i used to take help of manuals and books to rectify those. Its a painful and slow process to improve but very very effective.

    sorry but its the sad part that even we marine engineers are SELLING the knowledge instead of SHARING it.
    that too on a platform which provides knowledge and doubt clearance for the juniors.

    • @merchantnavydecoded
      @merchantnavydecoded  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I completely agree with what you have said beta and you are right.
      It is sad that when I should be sharing it for FREE , I am charging for it.
      Beta , I dont believe in FREE Culture and I dont promote it :
      wHY?
      1.)Because there is nothing free , except mother's love , someone is taking our data and someone our contact details, someone needs fame and someone needs power.
      2.)When you give something free , then you take the right from that person to find out flaws in your product. Can you complain on any product that is free?
      3) Last and most important , when you get something for free , you dont value it , when you work hard for buying a product , you value it and when you value it , you study and then comes the desired result.
      Beta I can go on and on and this is what i believe in , it is not necessary that i will be correct and we can surely agree to disagree.
      Lastly a lot of free stuff is happening today and you need to see that on ground level first , a telegram channel MARINE ENGINEERING DECODED , try and be the gentleman to help and guide others there.
      Work with me , make a great content with your hardwork and efforts , will share on my website for FREE and promote it as well.
      JAI MATA DI
