  • 1: 1960s Otis modernised by Schindler with Dewhurst US91-EN
2: 1960s Otis hydraulic. Logic has been modernised, but everything else is still original.
3: 1980s glass Keighley hydraulic with Dewhurst
    4-5: 1970s Otis modernised with Dewhurst US89
6: slow 1960s Otis goods lift. I wonder what mrmattandmrchay would make of this lift as the lights are LED but apart from that almost everything else is original.

I think the bus station has been demolished, but the shopping centre hasn't, it's just being refurbished.

Actually no your'e wrong. I visit this shopping centre every week and are in close contact with the staff. Owner Intu Properties are going to give it a comprehensive refurbishment and rebuild certain parts of it to accommodate a cinema and new shopping areas a large area of the shopping centre will be not be changed bar new interior. The original owner Westfield their plan involved a lot of major construction much more than now. Work is set to start in December 2017
