5:41 what an amazing piece of handmade bespoke engineering. Years of prototyping resulting in the perfect blend of technology and passion..... I am, of course, talking about that lion'esque mane of hair 🦁
I shouted 'Francis' down Priory lane yesterday early evening. I was going to boast about my 200 mile ride from Exeter yesterday - but I watched the vid with the little machine who cycled 200 miles the other week, what a little champion!
My Dad was born in Brighton in 1933 and when he was in his late teens and early twenties, he and his dad would cycle a tandem fixie on Saturday mornings to somewhere in London to watch the bike races on an oval track, then back home later in the day.
Francis, can u tell me your cycle config I'm not sure what cycle to buy because I only have $1000 dollar budget and should I go off the shelve or 2nd hand and upgrades
Do you think if you had a sheet of lexan film, and used a 3D printer to print the dimples in patterns to match the leading edges of your bike? Peel them off and apply to your bike. Instant 10% FTP gain.
Hi Francis, love the vids. Quick question, how does the attacus gear size compared to castelli. would love to buy some but always worried about it sizing too small or too large. cheers
probably, but 1% is big gains for a few dimples. I'll do another video with Ken on the importance of aerodynamics, his opinion is fitness > aero > weight in that order.
Francis - thanks for responding, really enjoying your videos. I wonder if you would consider doing a video on the type of bike to buy if you just want to get fit, ride with friends or a club but not race or anything serious. Do you still need a power meter, computer ? carbon, aluminium, etc, etc.
Sadly, I find quite a lot of London riders who venture out into Kent at the weekend are not that friendly. They check your bike out but rarely say 'Hi' or give you a wave. Appears to be more about the pose. Perhaps i'm just old school, but friendliness use to be a part of cycling !
Would absolutley love to have my own bike brand. That bloke looked pure passionate about his brand, although my wife did catch me looking at the website... apparently i cant window shop, she always thinks im going to buy.
Amazing custom bike totally overshadowed by the awful name, anyone who knows of someone, or who has suffered with addiction I think would agree, but great vid as always Francis
Gotta Love the Herion guys accent, he makes up his own words and you still know what word he meant. Brilliant. Nice bikes as well.
Just got back from a 175km ride and what do you know, a Francis' video, perfect!

+Chris Mar Hahahaha
Chris Mar Peter Sagan called, he's gutted and he's getting a buzz cut since he can never match that beauty
The Heroin man sounds like bond villain.
Tobias Dahlhaus: He sounds like the policeman in the t.v show "Allo Allo" 😂
The bike has a very nice fuck . The fuck is also very aerodynamic .
Tobias Dahlhaus I really want to hear him say "I did not see ze incident" because I think it would prove he is Arsenal Wenger's grandson

Ha! That was you!

That HEROIN bike looks good. The golf ball structure looks amazing.
+Anibal Jesus Delgadillo super aerodynamic!
Francis Cade Did you ride it?
That bike is a work of art!
"Di dimpoules"

Great vid. Why 'Heroin'? The name is the no.1 thing that puts me off. Nice bikes but I can't see past the name.
YEP....me too.... nice but very poor name , trying to be risky, but really rather pretentious
"it's a special diet... tiny portions of slop" ... LMAO... Francis... The.... Savage.
Very pretty bike. ...
What equipment are you using? Pretty nice content!
Sweet bike, love the subdued paint job also....
Nice Vid today Francis. What bike do you ride when you do those longer rides?
an aprire vincenza, for now!
Well that was possibly the most french man in history
Awesome video, seeing you ride through Richmond park brings back fond memories :) also, what's the song at 3:28?
Francis which camera are you using ?
Francis, can u tell me your cycle config I'm not sure what cycle to buy because I only have $1000 dollar budget and should I go off the shelve or 2nd hand and upgrades
so the Heroin is special because it's special. That's the best kind.
Cycling journal at it best...and your color grading is so damn good.
The god, those jerseys are so SO dope. Love it

+Andy Fisher battery ran out!

Hi Francis, love the vids. Quick question, how does the attacus gear size compared to castelli. would love to buy some but always worried about it sizing too small or too large. cheers
not sure compared to castelli, but I am a small in blacksheep, le col, rapha, including attacus.
Awesome cheers for the reply
But did they wind tunnel test it with a person on it. My guess is the advantage goes from 10% to 1% in this case.
probably, but 1% is big gains for a few dimples. I'll do another video with Ken on the importance of aerodynamics, his opinion is fitness > aero > weight in that order.

those little dimples are like to the dimples on a golf ball
exactly, same principle!
Would absolutley love to have my own bike brand. That bloke looked pure passionate about his brand, although my wife did catch me looking at the website... apparently i cant window shop, she always thinks im going to buy.
caught!
He didn't mention the cut outs on the forks? Presume they're for aerodynamics
He did. He said about them having to be made from the start & its being expensive / hard to manufacture
great vid. thanks!
Amazing custom bike totally overshadowed by the awful name, anyone who knows of someone, or who has suffered with addiction I think would agree, but great vid as always Francis
quite a good jersey .....
Yeah that's a nice bike, but how do I get a haircut like that!?
Mad Max Thunderdome was the third in the series, just saying.
