The bouncing logo at the bottom left is so irritating. Otherwise it would have been a good video
Unsubscribing because of it. Sorry
Yep ditch the stupid logo
God ,its annoying
Stopped watching because of it, awarded a thumbs down
I'm stopping watching because The Yank narrating, said that we have F35s, which we havn't, but what he was doing was inviting all and sundry here to live like he does all at our expense, whilst expanding USA military bases, for which we all must be most grateful for, on the maff 🖕
Don't they get the message that Britons don't like Yanks with The Besrskin Hats!
No more clicks either.
The Typhoon coupled with the 'Meteor' is truly a deadly combination on it's own. Great aircraft.
My mom's single engine combined with the meteor is a deadly combination :) That missile is insane
It is truly a monster of a fighter.
As Peter Griifin would say, "It does lots of stuff."
To the topic of carrying weapons:
You forgot the newest "most capable air-to air-Missile": Meteor !
The narrator mentioned it.😉
@@Anglo_Saxon1
Did he ?! When ?!
With the RAF upgrades it's even better theses days - it's some piece of kit
UK MUST see this project through to completion and not FANNY ABOUT like we did with the Tiger Helicopter.
Dont let the US buy the project into oblivion ( TSR2), and dont let the tories cut the project!
Just a note. The UK's F-35's do not, and will not, perform land based quick reaction alert roles. They are not fast enough to perform escort duties, unless the intruder is a Bear obviously. A blackjack could gracefully pull away from an F-35, which would have to reheat just to keep up for a short while.
Just to be clear a blackjack is a massive radar target, thats why they arent used over Ukraine. The F35 can handle it and it would never see it coming.
I'm not sure. Source? The F35 acceleration is better than the one of the f16.
@alexs.4340 the f35b is the vtol version. May not be suitable for interceptor roles but hard to know
@@joelbilly1355 The F-35 in any form can intercept and kill an intruder very capably indeed. But that isn't what is required. A QRA role means drawing up alongside to declare you are there and watching, keeping an eye on things. Russian aircraft can play silly buggers with the F-35 where they cannot with the purposely designed Typhoon. The F-35 has a bluff form to conceal weapons internally. It needs more power at any given speed than a Typhoon as a result. All it is is that the F-35 is designed for stealth. And since part of that is going slow enough not to heat the skin to detectable temperatures, it is perfectly designed. The QRA role is the domain for athletes. An old fashioned but still necessary show of muscle. Eleven second from a standstill, a Typhoon can be pointing vertically upwards if need be. Other aircraft might make the attempt, but the Typhoon can then just burn fuel and carry on going straight up until literally out of sight. Yes it will need a refuel at the top :-) but pure muscle.
@@alexs.4340 An F16 can lower drag by carrying less. An F-35 cannot. So, to maintain your comparison, when F-16's, Mirages and Gripens skinny up, they can perform QRA roles adequately. F-15's and Typhoons are the aircraft of choice though.
As a Brit its my favorite fighter jet 🛩️ I've always adored it the different nations chipping in as well the sound of the EJ200s is phenomenal. I've watched other typhoon videos and you always get Americans and Arabs calling it shit Britain's never made anything good bla bla which is annoying.
I do not think the Omani's call it that at all.
With the rising cost of stealth materials research and the way radar tech is becoming more precise the yanks may well find themselves with a fleet of F22's that become obsolete before they see action. Britain buying the F35 is really more a case of hedging our bets than giving up on more offence focused research goals. Remember before the development of stealth Britain led the world in active electronic warfare with the Vulcan's famously waltzing through everything the American military could muster on their home soil. But I've no doubt if we do develop a technically superior system we'll end up giving them the technology for buttons like we always do like we did with all our naval and aviation tech during WWII for perfectly valid reasons and with our jet research shortly after because we were naive enough to trust them not to immediately build their own civilian versions and steal all our overseas trade after we sacrificed everything to pay for fighting Hitler.
The Typhoon is actually a Gen 4.5 fighter with some stealth features (like the use of RAM and recessed ordinance), but can be better described as low observable with a reduced RCS and gen 5 level avionics with a helmet mounted display, voice command systems and data link and multi track management.
The problem starts when it fights 5++ fighter jets like TFX kaan and F22 or Su75s otherwise it is a great fighter jet no doubt
Well their are no in service TFX Kaan it's still in testing. F22 is not on anyone's side other than the US , so fights are ' training ' as for proposed Russian aircraft they are not Stealthy or even purchased yet. So that gives an answer for the next 10 years.
There is something just really nice and simplistic about the euro fighter that I like as a platform / it’s like a more modern f 16 with a delta wing
*Mk.= Mark*
Is a UK/English/British/Commonwealth written short form only, as it is always spoken or said, as _'mark'_
..it is akin to a Model or Variant number/letter say, Mk.14 Torpedo, or Ford Escort Mk. II (mark two Escort) etc.
Correct, these keyboard specialists always get it wrong!

@Rabmac1UK The reason the defence budget fell from 5.5% to 2.3% (now 2.7%) is beause we no longer saw russia as a serious threat after the fall of the USSR, therefore the threat was no longer a major land battle in europe thus a large land army was not precieved as nessassery. But instead the saber rattling came from argentina, as every election cycle one or more party will bring up the falklands, therefore concern was on projection of power rather through the navy (to safe guard our various overseas territories not covered by NATO), So lots of money was spent on finishing Trident (that went over budget) our two new supercarriers, and modernizing our other ships. Oh and throwing money at the wall known as challeger 3, (could have developed a new tank for the cost of developing the challenger 3 ugrade kit, in the sense of the delevopment cost and actually upgrading the actual tank, cost per unit challanger 2 is £4.3m, upgrade cost £5.8m, keep in mind challanger 3 costs around £5m to build new)
FFS it's a Mark two, not a MK2!!!
Yeah, my friend won a competition and got to name the aircraft
F-35 is a waste of time a very very expensive waste of time. When will the penny drop with the fan boys of these American game changers? Don't you think it was a coincidence just 4 weeks after receiving the flying pig. The British MOD announced it was developing its own gen 6 aircraft? Bearing in mind the flying pig was supposed to be the answer for the next 40 to 50 years. Before anyone goes off on a one against me stating the obvious. Think about it for a min or 2. The Brits weren't the only ones announcing they were going to be building their next fighter themselves . A few other F-35 customers did as well.
Now why would that be if it was such a fantastic aircraft? Be rational about this, the biggest costs in developing a fighter. Are if you build one from the ground up a totally new platform. Not continuous upgrades, why would the British & others do this?
For bombing unarmed civilians.

Worth mentioning that the Typhoon Strikes against the Houthis are a 3000 mile round trip from Cyprus.
You have to ask why the new carrier ain't nearby?...that 3000 mile round trip has got to be shortening the lifespan of the typhoons?
@@716tommo Suspect that the QE having a rusty shaft and being unavailable for the NATO exercises will see the QE in the Red Sea soon.
@@716tommo The carriers can't carry typhoons, + the UK only has 2 aircraft carriers so the chance that 1 of them is so far from home in the gulf at the right time is unlikely. It would also require a destroyer/frigate escort, something the Royal Navy can't really provide for it alone at the moment.

It's ok for them not to have stealth since the biggest players with Stealth aircrafts.
The USA is not their enemy.. as for China..it's far away and not in the range.. as for Russia's Su-57 it's just too few to make a threat

An interesting video, but please, it’s a MARK 2 radar! A small detail, but the robovoice spoils it.
Multi-role?
On a hovercrafting and spa weekend my wife and I stayed at a hotel that was converted from the buildings used to house fighter pilots from WW2,opposite was a huge airbase and we had picked a weekend when the airbase was much busier than usual, apparently. I found a local pub and soon got chatting to quite a large bunch of RAF guys, some were pointed out by others as Typhoon pilots and seemed to be getting all the questions aimed their way. One civilian local guy who was chatting with us seemed to know a bit more than your average joe about the typhoon and when he asked one of the typhoon pilots about its versatility concerning its weapons options, the pilot likened it to a USB port😊. Which is a good comparison on the face of it.
RAF Coningsby and the Petwood Hotel?

most deadly fighter jet?? in what way has it proved to be great in actual combat??
to be fair unless the various western worlds go to war with each other, which is unlikly. The point of whats the best and most deadly fighters is never really going to be proven at all. as shootinh down 2nd and third worlds aircraft or militaries dont really count if they are using 20+ year old tech.
It’s called the Super Typhoon.
Our GOD🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺
Not a bad pahtpaht!!! Roa Aotearoa nui.
all 6 of them...hahahahaha
I'm not sure about the title. Why would the RAF Eurofighter be more deadly than the versions flown by Germany and Spain? The capablities of Leonardo's ECRS Mk.2 are not that much different from Hensoldt's Captor-E upgrade.
Not sure why the MOD Procurement Executive seems to have lost interest in the Typhoon. Granted, there's the new upgrade path but we're not looking at expanding the Typhoon fleet and it's a great aircraft and can be better still. The RAF should look at a Typhoon 2 - not just upgrading existing aircraft (needed) but building new airframes to an upgraded spec, learning lessons from the F35. The RAF needs more airframes and simply put, cannot afford the F35. A Typhoon 2 would fill the gap between the upgrades of the present Typhoon and the Tempest, which is a very long way off.
No doubt one of the best multirole Fighter ever build but Europe partner nations have to keep investing and employing new improvements like the new tip wings study by Airbus, more powerful 25.000 pounds of trust vectoring engines, conformal fuel tanks and intreduce more weapons to the platform, new line of smart munitions, from 125kg to 2500kg bunker busters like the AASM Hammer but with a wider range of munition, implement new AESA radar upgrade and a new powerful ECM suite. And Uk should make a new orders of the fighter like Germany and Spain, UK should increase their number of frames that will keep the lines open beyond 2030 and always updating the fighter and i bet new big contract orders will come, go Europe that a top fighter and the engine needs a 20% more power to that will make jealous around the globe
The Typhoon is already a perfectly balanced machine. It's engine reliability is phenomenal. It's fighting agility WVR begins and ends at the pilot's neck. Where they look, the missile strikes. When money to improve hits the table, fit the new radars, then look at the Striker II helmet and new consoles.
@@johnmiles79 Agree 100%
It has to do it all because we scrapped everything else and there are still too few F35s , if we ever buy enough
I think we have bought enough of those lemons already
It has to do it all because the other countries in the consortium (mainly Germany) required a multi-role platform & the aircraft is all the better for it.
In regards to the F35. The UK government slowed down the buying process because after the initial 'debacle' in the early development stages of the F35. We didn't want to be 'lumbered' with a fleet full of early version F35s, only to then waste even more time & money upgrading them once they leave the production line. Now, also with the backlog in the production process of F35s. In hindsight, it's turned out to be the correct move.
Here's an excerpt from an interview from Ben Wallace. UK's, 'then' Secretary of state for defence.
"Its important for me to say to BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin and all the other [ contractors] that ‘It’s in your interest to keep through-life support costs down’ because simply, I don’t want to be held to a massive bill I can’t get out of.
We need more than 48 and we will invest in more than 48, but I’m not in the business of giving a blank check to contractors if they don’t play their part in cost controls, support and indeed making sure Britain’s developed capabilities are put on them [ the F-35 ], " Wallace told lawmakers.
I saw it fly at an air show in Dubai. Believe me, it can scoot. I was impressed and I think it would give any adversary all it could handle.
Hmmm... Questionable if it is "the best"!!
Europe is NOT the best at anything...
More money needs to be put into joint ventures like this. It's a great success. I have heard from pilots from the US/Japan/Aus that have said that this would be a match for any 5th Gen fighter. The targeting and missile capabillities are second to non. They call it the Peregrine falcon. It's not the fastest but it makes up for that with agility, and leathality.
Many countries saying its the Rafale and saying it with their CASH.
Rafale is one of the cheapest options not the best. About 25 million less per aircraft compared with a Eurofighter & through-life support costs are about $16,000 per flight hour compared with the Eurofighters $25,000. Rafale's is a fine aircraft & a perfect fit from most nations needs especially those with a limited budget as you get a lot bang for your buck hence why it's so popular. Now you put 100 Rafale's against 100 Typhoons well you would be a fool to bet against the Typhoons.
Every evaluation between those fighter show that rafale is better in all situation exempt interceptions, et ur fact right
@@steevoy9966 Yep, Typhoon tranche 2 vs Rafale F3. Put Typhoon tranche 3 vs Rafale F3 and the outcome would be opposite. Typhoon tr 3 is just better. But Rafale is the best multirole fighter with better running cost

Pure shit in front of Rafale !
that was for the French psyche. The Rafale is nice, but underpowered compared to the Eurofighter.

It never ceases to amaze me how politicians think you can keep reducing the number of airframes while still maintaining the same capability. Politician = damned fool.
Great video 😀
what a joke 😂
Just makes me laugh that it’s having the most advanced radar on. But it makes no odds as people tell everyone on TH-cam. Makes my arse laugh
USA USA USA
Remember when the Indian air force came to the UK and said they beat the RAF typhoons 12-1? The RAF was like...er yes ...ok 😂
I remember
Strangely in all tests where it competes with the Rafale it seems to be less efficient as an omnirole, its only superiority over the Rafale being its speed and specific role as an interceptor (both airplanes can carry the Meteor missile). It was specifically designed as an interceptor and note a true multirole (it was then upgraded to try to fill some air to ground missions and failed in its attempt to include electronic warfare), that's the main reason why France chose to leave the european project to build its own 4.5 omnirole. In the end many countries are choosing either the Rafale or the F-35, not the Eurofighter.
True! And the fact it does cope with the carriers (any type) makes it way over "OmniIrole"
That's, in fact, the reason Great Britain had to buy F35 to replace old harriers.
Think you mean the French pulled out because there was no reverse gear and a white flag in the cockpit. The French Rafales are just poor man's Typhoons that can be carrier based. The Typhoon is desingned to do it's job and the Uk's F-35 will do the carrier job. French cheaping out really.
@@stevenrintoul2381 the French love those jokes. Keep at it bro.
World’s most deadly = NO

Stealth is overrated and old hat, stealth aircraft can be detected by modern radar
Actually the Russians found that stealth can be detected with old longwave radar, if you know where to look and are expecting it! More modern accurate shorter wave length radar have more of a problem. And even if you are lucky enough to detect a stealth aircraft you don't have an accurate enough radar to actually get a weapons lock on it at least not at any large distance, and the weapons themselves also can have trouble maintaining a lock!
The Iraq army actually managed to down a F-117 purely because they were lucky enough to have their old Russian radar pointing in the right direction as the F-117 opened it's ordinance bay doors for the brief time needed to drop it's bombs. They were even luckier to get a weapons lock and fire before the bay closed.
@@DireW0lf0 I do not think the Iraqis ever shot down an F-117
@@DireW0lf0
That happened in Serbia a decade after the gulf war.....The ONLY thing they have in common is their shared experience in suffering a quick and comprehensive defeat.
@@patrickf4692 yep, it was in Seerbia and the must culprit is not the radar nor the stealth. The problem is that the pilot always used the same route and deployed weapons at the same range everytime. He got lazy and sloppy. A serbian anti aircraft missile battery and it's radar already got the blip of the plane, but not enough to lock a missile. Eventually they got there: every time the pilot opened the bay to engage stealth would kaput and a lock would be possible. That's ho the first F-117, and the only for my knowledge, was shotdown over serbian skies. If the pilot was more careful, he would never have been shot. But since then stealth users learned a lot and tech saw tremendous evolution. But, ofc, others still work also their best to defeat stealth with more modern and capable radars. But now stealth is not everything for stealth fighters, but also advanced electronic warfare able to blind enemy radars and then joined with stealth it makes a tremendous mix - plus the ability to relay info to 4 or 4,5 gen fighters which are trucks of ammo to attack different enemies bvr. Tech and the best human capital together always have the plus side.
lol no, there is no evidence of a stealth aircraft actually being targeted in a real life scenario and I wouldn’t use the Serbs as an example.

Well I just say one thing, the Gripen E.
LOL. Why?
It’s like a mini Eurofighter indeed
However...one EMP and it will simply fall out of the sky.
Every time a nuclear weapon is detonated it emits an EMP burst.....I wonder how we got footage of them if nothing electronic survives. Military aircraft are hardened against EMP's....one early test pilot flew his jet threw 60 nuclear tests.
OR -
Maybe fast and furious has it right and EMP's are visible beams that nothing survives... except the good guys. Hard to say.....
Who's got an emp? You would need to detonate a nuke to create an emp capable of affecting an aircraft going at Mach 1 and 40,000ft and even then modern aircraft have protection against emps, especially ones that are nuclear capable
Rafale is much more efficient...

France's export policy is much more relaxed than the German, where still a big part of the Bundestag does not want to send weapons to conflict zones and regimes with bad humanity records.
AMRAAM was the first of the modern FOX 3 fire and forget missiles and that was introduced in 1991 - 1993 long before the Rafale & Eurofighter had got into service. Basically the principle of that upcoming development was well understood. Then again the employment of cancellation and spoofing techniques has emerged to keep the detection ranges limited and so long range detection is not certain. WVR is also evolving into helmet cueing, lock on after launch etc nothing stays the same it is a merry go round of measures and countermeasures, Castles and Moats .
Number of weapons it can carry is also very important

Most deadly, what a joke 😂😂😂
Still behind US avionics...Typhoon cockpit still uses multi-displays and separate systems unlike the single multi-function and helmet mounted displays of F-35 and Super Hornets
Most of you are on our side so don't worry yourself - just watch out for that weird hair do orange floppy fella' with the small hands, he's a loon.
Typhoons have been using the striker helmet since 2007. Just 4 years after the Typhoons entry into service. It is more capable than the jhmcs of the super hornet and has integration with the Typhoons pirate irst sensor. A capability the super hornet does not even have. The striker 2 the next iteration of the helmet will enter service soon and will add night vision capabilities. The midlife upgrade of the typhoon which will be introduced in a few years will have a large area display bigger than anything on any other fighter. A new GAN based Aesa radar more than 50% larger than the super hornets radar. This radar will be more advanced than the apg-81 on the F35 as well.
So it seems you are wrong.
