Buy it for a nickel, sell for a dollar and you don’t even have to keep books

Jared, thanks as always for the content! I have a question, do you prefer to lease or own your service vehicles?
Is there anything you would prefer to lease over own?
I recently started leasing from Home Depot large ladders, specialty tools etc and its actually helpful because now I charge the customer for these "special" items apposed to just going out and buying it so I have it kind of thing..

I was recently told it is better to have a company that leases everything from a legal stand point if someone tries to sue you, you don't own anything other than the cash on hand to go after. From a tax stand point it is still a write off..
So I guess my real question is, in your opinion does your companies value come from the things it owns or the things it produces?
and if you were to buy /sell a company which would you prefer?

Great podcast. The lip smacking into the mics is tough to endure.
