Good to see an update. cant wait to see more. i am rebuilding mine at work so i have limited hours to work on my project. excellent video once again, keep up the good work!!
In the beginning, it's just to make sure the clearance is still staying within spec after break in. They won't usually move that much until the valves and seats have quite a bit of miles on them. If they're out of spec early on, thats an indication that something has gone awry. It's good to check, but it's probably o.k.. Good luck, and keep us posted!
Here's the valve shim tutorial in readers digest version. This is done after your valve seats have been ground on the head and set up for your new valves. Valves will be installed with new seals by now (skipped over that part) and your setting up the final shims for proper valve lash. Step #3
The girl sitting next to me at Tech thought the pink MrDuhfactor on tn Jeep fender was nice. I got no shame in my game and would rock that. Thumbs up and 4 AM here. Need some sleep before I get a call to goto church. Dudes jokes are not funny and maybe if I stay awake something will stick. Much love from the South!!
Good video. I have always wondered how all of that went together. My DR has the screw-type valve adjustments. I wondered what the deal was with this type that uses shims, etc. Thanks!
Hello thanks for all the videos I own a 05 klx300r love the bike currently decited to check the valve clearance at 1:12 of your video you try the the lobs facing the front and the rear of the engine only because I want to make sure I did not install my cams incorrectly should it be reversed of what you stated .. Thanks the az state
Awesome man n question I have a new 2013 klx250s and in the book it says to check the clearance after so many miles do they usually need to be redone or is it just to make sure it all seated right during break in
Yamaha & Honda definitely have easier valve adjustment. Having the torque sequence numbered on the head is a nice touch though. How does Suzuki compare for ease of maintenance?
Your klx351 videos helped me a lot only video good explanation videos I could find

depends on the model buddy.... DR's are just like XR's, but DRZ's are just like KLX's. ... ;)
low performance engines have adjustable rocker tips, high rpm motors have shim and bucket.
Thanks my man....More to come!
You could totally rock pink brutha'! Man,I would be smoked at 4 am.....I'm going to nick name you Nocturnal.....Your an animal!

Hey I know this was a while ago but I have a klx300 are the specs the same my valves are so tight I can’t fit a feeler gauge in there on one side
I believe so
MrDuhfactor okay so probably dumb question but the feeler gauge I have reads 0.015 is that the same as .15 as you were saying
