Your theory is very similar to mine too. Jaehyun looking at his watch at the end may symbolize how time still passes by with him and yet Inguk's time ended. He feels guilty for his decisions in all his encounters with Inguk. For example at the start of the MV, Jaehyun asked Inguk for his phone number, which led to them keeping in touch, only hurting Inguk more. (Inguk holding an iphone and Jaehyun holding a blackberry shows how Jaehyun is stuck in the past, while he hoped for Inguk to have been alive in the future.) So at the end, he decided to let Inguk go instead of asking for his number for the sake of his life. Since everything about Inguk's unrequited love came together for Jaehyun, he made up scenarios in his head like showing Inguk he's no longer married to see how that could've changed things. The tunnel was probably the last place they were at before Inguk's passing; Jaehyun didn't hug Inguk back in his vunerable state, suggesting that he rejected Inguk's feelings. At the end he went back to that tunnel, to think what would've happened if he DID call out for Inguk before he left, wondering if that could've saved his life. All in all, just a sad story. Can't believe K. Will did this to us 😭😭
