Their embrace in the net after the match finishes is truly one of the warmest of the year, unlike some of the salt players who just give a quick handshake when lost
Well said. Beyond the simple competitioin there is another level called sportsmanship. not everyone reaches this level, because it requires greater than a binary outlook on life.
Well done Andrey but also Grigor made a great match. I really enjoyed these highlights, the best part is at the end with their smiles and hugs. 10 out of 10 for their friendship.
It was a great fight from Grigor, I’ll always root for him. I feel for him he’s gotten close to winning Grand Slams, but always fell just a little short.
Seems like the quality between the top 16 in men's Tennis has gone up a level! 😙 This is the best I've ever seen Rublev, and if he & Hubi can replicate their form of today, then it should a phenomenal final!!
What a formidable tussle! What a candid handshake between these two competitors. That's what I wanted to see in each tournament. The candour and cordiality of Rublev and Dimitrov definitely made me blissful. Particularly, Rublev has competed more valiant and intrepid than Dimitrov in the long rallies and playing more patient, level-headed and serene in accordance with the composure and movement. Rublev keeps advancing his mobility and dynamism on the pitch against the tough adversaries.
Rublev really know how to play tennis.. what i like from him how he eat his fear when hard moments comes with styles.. Go andey and thanks for the show!
Love the net embrace of these two they know each other so well, great sportsmanship and a great game! Sad for Dimi to lose as he he has been playing so dam well in the last few months but still what a great game of tennis!
every time when Grigor was in position to finish point with strong backhands , he played slice , that's his biggest problem in career and reason why he didn't win more titles ..apart from that he's a fantastic player
He recently announced more slices and played more of those to not so much success. He refrained himself from hitting too many slices this open though. IMHO, he didn't lose because of slices but because of his tactics.
His backhand like Federer is his biggest weakness. Nadal and Djokovic exploited backhand weakness of Federer to beat him for most of his career. There is a saying that chain is only as strong as it's weakest link and your opponents will always Target your weakness. So improve your weakness or lose...
@@rabisml1234 It's kinda crazy to think of the backhand of someone with 20 Slams under their belt as a big weakness. I'd say that yes, Rafa used to attack it until it broke very often (but then again, very few players could resist his game), but against Novak I never felt like it was the main reason he was losing.
Youre terrible wrong, TERRIBLY wrong; the one handed backhand is the most difficult shot in tennis, thats why 99% elect to play the girlie two hander. So the slice is absolutely needed when the player IS NOT well positioned and also as a variant and to rest the forearm. Its almost impossible to be consistent with a full shot one handed backhand. Grigor does this excellent, even better than Roger Federer and Ttisipas who want to hit every backhand full shot even when bad positioned .. this results in the ball landing short or commitin the error. The slice backhand is a weapon and is very well used by Grigor. This is NOT the reason because he lost, is because he needed to go more to the net, serve & volley sometimes, drops sometimes, mix it up, because a player like Rublev is a wall like Medvedev, so you need that kind of strategy to beat him.

Thanks for the highlights. One suggestion: You seem to be focused on the longest rallies instread of the break points. Tennis fans want to know how a close set or match was won. If you only have a limited time for the highlights, then please include just the converted break points and, ideally, the entire final set tie-break if there is one. Thanks again.
Андрей в своей красной повязке на голове похож на Кристофера Уокена в фильме "Охотник на оленей", там тоже была смертельная дуэль, только со смертью..Вау, что за фильм, вау, что за матч..Андрей, с победой!✌
Great match and tournament from both players! Still, I believe that tennis players are forced to play too many tournaments nowadays. Not surprisingly, all favorites for the victory (Alcaraz, Medvedev, Sinner) were eliminated early in Shanghai...
El saludo final es epico, un gran ganador, pero hubo un mejor perdedor, que buena onda de Grigor, Andrei tampoco se queda atras un tipazo corresponde la nobleza de Dimitrov
Rublev is so in love with Dimitrov, great to see that haha! Grigor is such a incredible player, really hard to root against. You just want the best results for him.

Very close match, very evenly contested and very enjoyable to watch. Two high quality, likeable players with similar styles going toe-to-toe . . . it doesn't get much better. From watching only the highlights, it looked like Rublev's forehand was the difference.
Great win for rublev. He already has strong baseline game. If he can improve his net game and learn to do transition to net behind big groundstrokes he will become a challenger to top-3 guys and a grandslam contender....i hope he does so...rublev and sinner game are so similar, both strong baseliners with sinner having slightly better net game and drop shots and better movement. Thats why sinner is higher ranked than rublev.
@@marchvertochko0056 I don't think so....if sinner can improve his net game and rublev his net game and movement then both will become consistent top.4 player with both having good chance of winning couple of majors....i remember rublev match against medvedev in us open. I mean Rublev served for the first set, Grigor broke him and was playing catch-up all the time. How is he a choker when he never led in the match once?
I cant believe how many people trust that these events arent scripted. Im out of this, now Im putting my trust solely in Awakenbeerus and his predictions
What happened? I could only watch here and there. I was in a meeting. Grigor has been in tremendous form lately. Was he slicing too much? Not spreading the floor and coming in? His form and variety as of late should have won him this match.
@martinzahariev4420 damn man. I want this man to win a slam. He has been coming over his backhand, moving so well, beating top guys, sitting down on his shots, and going deep in every tourney. He is capable of doing something special in a slam. I'd like to see how at least go into that category of players. As of late his skills have been on serious display. Sucks this happened.
@martinzahariev4420 that sucks. He's only 32 and playing best of three. I follow him on IG. Dude parties like a Rockstar and has a new girl every week. I wish he would've taken the sport more serious. I'm sure he puts in work, but not like he should be.
I think he just has an ongoing issue with his shoulder that flares up when he plays a lot of tennis and then goes away. It looks like it’s hard for him to sustain high service level for more than 3-4 long matches in a row 😢
