CT life time will effect very much and also easily get saturation during heavy fault condition.

Even the power transformers also have backemf to counter the main emf of power transformer?

POWER TRANSFROMER -ALSO HAVE CORE LOSS IN NO LOAD BUT WHEN SECONDARY OPEN THE PRIMARY CURRENT WILL BECOME ZERO. SO THE SECONDARY VOLTAGE CREATE WILL BE AS PER NAME PLATE. ( SIMPLE -MATCHING PRIMARY VA = SECONDARY VA)
